I too drive fast. it's illegal. never been stopped for speeding though. police always see me speeding but i'm not going fast enough for them to bother. am i therefore a criminal for doing something illegal or not a criminal because they don't want to bother with 10 KM/H over the speed limit?

Then it would be the determining factor of whether or not you are caught that makes you a criminal. I think the difference between a criminal and doing something illegal is a matter of intent, also how you are afterwards and if you do it again...

Well I don't intend on driving dangerously or causing harm to anyone or their property.

Well, speeding's a bad example anyway. I don't think anyone has bad intentions while driving. What I meant was more like, criminals do things for bad reasons. Like I steal because I can or I vandalize someone's home because I hate them, etc.

you dont do those things because, you reconize those things are wrong. Crimnals dont always reconize something is wrong. Someone I apprehended -told me they steal because they wanted it and they felt like the world owes them a few favors.

Bragging about doing something illegal and saying it with an in your face attitude is one thing. Secondly, no remorse and talking about the government in that she goes on to say she does not respect it? Melissa you know better than that. Your trying to go with a waiver and you are seeing Javier. Shona is here doing a waiver too. MUY SOLO thinks she is better than anyone else is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not happy not seeing my husband since January 2005. I am doing it right and she should do it or keep her illegal ways to herself. It is ####### like this that makes it harder. Yes, my husband comes from a country that has to be stricter and more checks. But just because he comes from Pakistan that does not mean he has done something illegal or been involved in terrorist activities.

This site is for us to get the correct information and do our processing thru the proper channels. And like Joel said it is one thing to speed or do something in criminal mind then what more would they do? Sorry but first husband was in law enforcement and if you have no respect for the law you never will.

Mary

Mary, I am agreeing completely with you. I know that hearing things like this might make you feel bad on a personal level, but when your husband comes here legally and you begin to enjoy your life together, you can come on here one day and see Muy Solo's hubby was deported, and she's all by her lonesome again. The knowledge of that should give you the peace of mind to know her decisions have no effect on you. Your husband will come here and you'll live happily ever after. Hers will come back and they'll sleep with one eye open for the rest of their lives. I'm glad your husband has never done anything illegal. God willing, that will help him get through the AR much faster. Javier has and we're paying for it. We're not even at the Waiver step. But he's not a criminal. He's a hard working man with a wonderful spirit and I love him to death.

Just don't let me get my hands on someone who is here illegally. Although Javier has come illegally, he is now doing it the proper way and that makes a huge difference. Makes him ok by me

no doubt Muy Solo will be crying the " hubby got deported " blues. the diffrence between your Javier and Henry is one learned their lesson the other didnt. One cares about who he hurts the other gives no reguard to the love of their life feelings. everyone deservs a second chance. but, this other fellow is setting himself for no chances at all.

Speaking of which I just realized....yesterday marks 3 years from the day he was arrested. I'll never forget that day as long as I live. It was our 6 month anniversary. Every year on that day I sort of lose it...I actually didn't remember yesterday about it. Javier just reminded me on the phone. :(

Melissa I am not going to feel sorry for someone that cannot condone to the laws of the US. She is making her bed to lie in it. It is one thing to do it once; but to brag about you will do it forever it that is what it takes? My 13 yr old is reading these posts with me today. He is outraged that we are doing this the proper way and he even said MUY SOLO has no remorse. She needs to do it legal or go to him. Sorry but that is how it should be. I usually sit back and do not get into the tiffs on here. But I am not a happy camper that someone can post this and think it is okay? If a 13 year old can see the difference in right and wrong tells me that others should too. She IS MAKING her bed. No one is forcing her to do this #######.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Joel thank you.

And Melissa sorry you have to deal with the deportation anniversary but you are making the right choices now to move forward and not have to worry and look over your shoulder all the time.

I know and it is very hard being separated and going thru this process. I truly am sorry you have to deal with these memories and hopefully it will be a dull memory over time. Just like I know that my separation is not easy and it will be a memory one day, too. I also know being widowed that time does heal.
