It looks like you are following K3 route instead of CR-1. Hence the NVC flowchart should not apply to you.

Your case went through NVC already and into the embassy.

rika,

somehow, my I-130 also got transfered to NVC now. I think I might have a chance to also follow up on CR-1 route as well. that is why I posted the original question. so again, do I send in both or one of the other to choose 1 of the 2 tracks from the NVC flowchart from the guides? thanks a lot for your help.

There are two tracks in the NVC paperwork. One track is financial for the sponsor and the other is the Immigrant Visa application for the beneficary/applicant. You must do both if you want to process your IV through the NVC. If your K-3 is already at the Embassy and you CR-1 is just getting started at the NVC you should know that it will take at least 90 days (average) to to have your CR-1 at the Embassy. If your interest is time....your K-3 is now the fastest way to be together. But there are advantages to both the K-3 and CR-1 which can be read about endlessly on this site.

Since your interview date is next month you don't have time to pursue the CR1 visa now. The CR1 visa takes about 2-3 months at the NVC for them to process all the necessary documentation before the interview.

05/03/07 - NOA2

05/10/07 - NVC receives petition, case # assigned

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

Removing Conditions

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview
