aawww tammy, I think we all hope the interview is going to be so smooth and the CO will be happy and want to just hand over the visa and when they put more hurdles in front of us it makes us feel despair!

The COs are trained to be tough in the interviews. I know so many people going through so many different consulates across the world and the story is alwaysthe same. Never smiling, sounding tough- it's part of the "game" they like to play and parat of their strategy to determine fraud. It reaelly is not a reflection of what they think of us.

I ithink this news is really not so bad.

Sounds like the affidavidt of support had some discrepacies in their minds because you sed both income and assests. IS getting a co-sponsor a problem?

To me it sounds as if they had no problem believeing you rhusband and the relationship is legitimate, they just want more evidence to put in the file to show everything is in order. If they didn't believe you they woul d not have taken the time to give you guys a second chance to submit evidnce, they would have just returned the petition.

We had a similar experience in Casablanca. My fiance was told to bring more evidence of communication. Though what she told him was much more vague than what they asked you to provide. I wrote the CO a letter and attached more evidence to it and we had no problems after that.

I think your best bet is to write out a nice, personal letter with solid, organized thoughts and attach more evidence. She gave you a list of questions to address. Be sure to answer clearly all those and add evidence for each to support your words. I think this letter will be important evidence for them because they will be able to approve the visa and show their boss that all the qualifications have been met.

I'm sure everything will go well after that. they mentioned the security checks which last an average of 3 months...isn;t that pretty normal for Jordan? The wait after the visa? it does not sound as if he has been singled out for some special form of adminstrative processing.

Own things in common! And have common financials! This is something big. So if you own a car, go put him on the title with an "or" to ensure you still have power to do whatever you want without him ;) And if you have CCs, try putting him on the account as an authorized user. Can you apply for an ITIN tax ID for him? Maybe resubmit your 2006 taxes with an ITIN and an adjustment of exclusion of foreign income.. hmmm... trying to think about all the stuff we did.

print out your VJ stuff. Print out any comments you have here.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

both me and amal had received the 221g for more evidence from Amman. Most likely the same woman you had.

MK is right it's not a denial they just want more evidence and your husband will receive his visa.

Moe_lisa had some excellent suggestions practically the same evidence I had. We submitted ours back and a month later got a the visa. Only reason it took a month the embassy was closed for most of January.

Wow your post brought back a lot of memories of how much I wanted to be with my husband in that time.
