Hi Everyone

My wife called the DOS today to find out our case update they said the Embassy sent the case to washington again this month for the clearance. My 1st clearance was done in April about three months ago. Then the embassy asked for my passports . It has been 3 months that they have my passport . Today wife called at the DOS now they are saying that the embassy sent the case again to DOS this months. We are so sad to learn about it . Do you know why it is happening with my case. I am on AP since oct 2006. Still it is not ending . My waiveras were approved in sep2006 after 9 months. My wife and 4 kids are suffering all alone in the USA

We need a profile and timeline filled in to have any hope of giving a meaningful answer. You have country and visa type showing as N/A. Well, I assure you both are critically "applicable".

Islamabad is Pakistan.

Pain07,

I know you are suffering but like I told you in the pm that Islamabad has been releasing men on AR/AP since the 13th of this month. Hopefully, they will issue your visa shortly and you know the new lady Ambassdor seems to be moving the older cases. Too many men were in AR/AP and I think 4 or 5 that post here on this forum have visa in hand now.

Mary

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

LOL. Actually, I know that very well and had Pakistan in my mind as I read the post. However, when I tried to reference it, I looked everywhere but the subject line and couldn't find any reference to any country. I really wondered why I thought it was Pakistan. Funny.

Still, a timeline would help everybody.

Hi!

I was interviewed in April 2005 for the first time for my IR-1 visa, I submitted my medical and police reports. The officer asked me few question and determine that I need to submit the I-601 waiver and being put on administrative review for the first time. I went back to the embassy in May with my USC wife and submitted the I-601 with the fingerprints, I was called again in July 2005 just to submit the tax papers from my sponsors.

Last year in the first week of May I received a letter from the embassy to come for the third interview since my I-601 was approved and I received the approval letter from Rome, Italy. I went to the embassy with new medical and police reports, the officer asked few questions and said "Congratulations and Welcome to USA" then I was asked to submit my passport and handed a purple IV token to receive the visa via courier service within 6-8 weeks.

May 2007, I received a phone call from the embassy saying that, my security clearance has been completed and I need to send the tax papers from my Co-sponsor and they are ready to issue the visa. I contact my brother in law to send his tax papers so I can forward it to the embassy, he sent everything out to me within 3 days. I sent everything to the embassy by the end of May and waited and waited. After a week I received a letter from the embassy saying that my co-sponsor's income is insufficient and I need to send another I-864 from someone who is eligible. I contacted my lawyer and he argue with the embassy that my Co-sponsor has no dependents at all and he owns various business with the income of $36,000, I received another fedex from my brother in law including the new forms and the assets which was more than 5 times than the poverty level, I sent everything out including my new medical and police reports again since they were going to expire soon. I received another letter stating the same thing to send someone's else who qualifies to be a co-sponsor. First week of July I sent the new I-864 from my older brother($38,000 income) no dependents along with the W2's, copy of his passport and his tax returns. Last week I received another letter from the embassy saying that they need the I-864A and the proof of USC from my brother's wife. Total income from both of 'em is $55,000 with no dependents.

Yesterday I went to the courier service and sent everything out to the embassy, I asked the courier person when these papers will be there he tomm morning.

I hope and pray for all of us to reunite with their families once again for good.

Blessings from Almighty ALLAH for all of us.

That's a timeline but it's not what I meant. Click on the timelines link at the top of your page then on "edit my timeline" and fill it in. You haven't touched your profile. Click on your username and edit your profile.

If I were in your shoes, I would post the details that go along with what you've supplied above, such as the questions asked and the reasons for the waivers. Post it in the appropriate regional forum for Pakistan where others with more experience dealing with procedures in Islamabad will see it.
