Hello! i need advice about marrying in Canada my fiance is a refugee over there so what can we do? If I marry and stay with him how will I get medical coverage and etc? Any tips? What is required to marry as I am divorced? I need what documents to marry him and what does he need?

You apply for permanent residency to move to Canada and since your SO is not a citizen he cannot sponsor you. So you would have to apply for permanent residency.

I would suggest finding a site similar to this for people wanting to come to Canada (since this is more about going to the USA)

Okay, I'm a little confused. Your fiance is a refugee living in Canada, correct? Do they have permanent resident status yet? Are you a US citizen? Are you wanting to bring your fiance to the U.S. or are you wanting to join your fiance in Canada?

If your husband is a refugee in Canada and has not yet received his permanent resident status, you may be able to also get a permanent status card because you will be his dependent. You can also look into the professions outlined by NAFTA. For example, Canadian/American accountants/engineers/nurses (many more) can work in both USA/Canada without a work visa as long as they have a job offer. Hope this helps!

Marriage liscense requirements are difference depending on which province you are in. In Alberta you will need your divorce certificate and the liscense is valid right away (no wait period). Hope this helps.
