also i have some big problems, and i need your opinion. my sister was vacation with me and she lost here green card and now she cant come back to US without a letter from embassy. The problem is that the embassy opens from 8:30AM-10:30Am MON,TUE, TH. for green card issues. she went to the consulate(freaking waste of $400 dollars) and they would not let her talk to any american consulate, but gave her a form and a big list of items she need to bring to embassy and they will schedule appointment.

Now what i want to know if you know anyone who has gone through similar situation.

I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (If you already have this from your overseas Visa Interview submit a copy that medical check form; No fee is required in this case. If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.)

For the AOS, what is this suppose to mean.

Sweet Ae4ever! I am waiting for my EAD too. How come you waited so long to apply for the EAD? Did you file AOS too or not?

No yaar michigan. I have not filed AOS yet either, just was so so busy. For EAD, she doesn't need to work so there wasn't an urgency to file EAD. But now INSHA ALLAH, AOS will follow the EAD soon, like in a week or so.

HAFIZ GEE. MABARKAN WEY MUBARKAN so u must be soooooooooooooooooooooooo happy now  any way as is always the case, now our visa journey have again come on the same line, as we both will be filing the AOS at almost the same time.

BTW where's psoft? nasir? azhar? and other senior folks?????????????????????

I was confused to as I dont have proof that I got the medical done in Pakistan, if you have entered the country in the last one year on a K-3 Visa you dont need to get another medical done, your medical was taken by the the POE officer and submitted to the local USCIS office. You just need to get the immunization suppliment done.

Or if you have too much money on your hands, you can always do another medical...

Hi Faal4anisa,

We are still waiting for an interview date as well. Our packet 3.5 arrived back at the embassy on Dec. 8th. The embassy told us earlier this to check back in 3 more weeks. Arghhh!!!!

I didn't realize there would be such a delay between submittal and being given a date for the interview. Is this typical for K1's?

Let me know when they give you a date. Best of luck.

It's been almost 9 months since we filed the I-129F petition and thanks to Allah, my husband finally got the K-3 visa just this morning!!! A million thanks to everyone who has helped answer questions here, especially Shon and Mary. Our case is proof that there is hope for the ladies waiting to be with their spouses. Our last name is incredibly common and it took about 5 full months from the interview date until he finally got the visa. Ironically, I just received my plane ticket to Pakistan in the mail because I was supposed to fly there next week to see him, for the first time in a year. It sure is funny how things work out sometimes. Now he can come here instead, Inshallah. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting to be reunited with their spouses and the best thing to do is keep the faith.
