So he arrived on the 5th of June and got his greencard yesterday. We received FIVE welcome letters from USCIS from June 21-June 25 stating his packet would come in a month or so.. and no packet but we did get a greencard.

They look pretty sweet on the back and I'm kind of jealous.

This has really perked him up. We had to reapply for a SS# after he had been here for 2 weeks because the automatic number wasn't coming. He got that in 6 days. That made him feel better, but then when his mother died on the 3rd he entered a kind of funk which has been slowly improving. So now he's feeling pretty chipper and determined to pick up a second job. So yay.

Good luck you all! It's worth it!

Well Doodle, she was ill for the past 2 years appearing to be having multiple seizures per day-- but not in pain. His father died in November and his aunt (her sister) died this February, so I think it was just kind of it for her. She was 76, almost 77.

Maureen-- I applied K3 but he came on the I-130 so it's a CR1. He has the temp 2-year card which expires July 13, 2009-- so I guess they do it from date of issue and NOT date of entry which is kind of good to know.

Thanks Amal, Angie, and Jackie :)

Glad to hear things are getting better for you guys! Wishing you the best! You are now on the two year slide! Interesting that they have changed that from the date of issue from date of entry! Our condtions are from the date he entered which we are almost ready to file for that whole process. Sorry to hear about his mother, that would be very hard. Good thing he had you to help him through it!

I was so sorry to hear about his mother passing away. I can't imagine the grief he must have felt, so soon after his father.

Glad that things are getting better for him now, I am sure the mail man is one of his favorite people right now. LOL

Best wishes to both of you, and hope everything just keeps getting better.

My life has been blessed with the love of 4 of the sweetest men in the world. James, Jonathan, Nicolas, and Islam, my sons and my S/O.

OPSSSSSSS I DID IT AGAIN!
