First day Home Alone!!!!

My husband has been here over two years now and is pretty familiar with all the gadgets in our home. I do remember the first time he put one of his favorite Moroccan sweaters in the dryer and when he took it out, it could fit a two year old. Very sad indeed. I guess I had forgotten to warn him that not everything could be put into the dryer. It also took him a bit to use all the kitchen appliances. He would prefer to squeeze his own orange juice or chop up all the vegetables by hand we were going to use but now he can use a juicer like a pro, the chopper is one of his favorite things and he loves the slow cooker. I've even seen him use the other pots for cooking instead of his tagine that he so carefully brought back with him. He also told me the other night that he was hot when the house was 68, though he was wrapped up in the comforter. He returns to Morocco for his first visit in over two years this August. I can't wait to hear his stories as to how things seem after living here.

haha love the stories! Mine wants to visit Jordan sometime either at the end of this year or early next year. We will see how that goes. He swears that the life is exactly the same. I think he has forgotten what it is like there. I'm sure it will be a big wake up call for him.

There have been many many things he has found to be amazing here. Each time he finds a new one, he says..."ohh, america, they have everything". He thinks the dishwasher is pretty cool. Still can't figure out where the food goes when I turn the garbage disposal on. The smoke alarm went off the other day whilst we were making Turkish coffee and I swear he was ready to duck and cover. Poor guy.....

Oh, I remember the first day......Andre travelled down the street and sat under a neighbor's tree until the neighbor came out and asked if he could help him with something.....the calls.....dinner waiting......

Enjoy it. Soon enough, he'll be regulated into your life more and it won't be as cute as those first few days.

Wow, he did an awesome job, doing laudry in all that noice.

It's such a culture change and he will get used to it slowly.

He deserves a treat!!!!
