I have a friend in Morocco who wishes to come to the US to stay and work here. What does that person need to do to apply for a visa and what type visa. Please respond asap.

I think he would apply for a work visa. Does he have an employer in the states who wants to hire him?

He will have to have a skill that is in demand and an employer willing to higher him and go through the expense of filing for a visa, there is a limit to the number per year.

No he doesn't have an employer to send him here, just my friend that talks to him and he wants to come here and work and try to live here. She said she could send letter of invitation but anyone know what else is involved?

He could apply for a Tourist visa, which would allow him to stay here for a finite amount of time during which he would not be permitted to work here. As mentioned above, his only option would be to be sponsored for an H1B work visa which requires you to be highly skilled, like medical ot IT professionals, to name two.
