hi!

just wanna ask what's next after receiving the letter from NVC. my fiance received a letter from NVC yesterday and we were so happy about it. now we have our case no. i just wonder why he never received those forms that he need to sign (as what i've know here). he just received a plain letter. will the NVC send him another letter with the forms needed for him to fill-out which he will send me so i can present it during the interview?

what shall we expect next after this NVC letter?

hope i can have some clarifications from those who have gone this step already. thanks again.

we're getting closer

to those who are still waiting for the noa2 and nvc...your time will arrive soon...have the faith :)

What forms? Are you talking about the DS230, DS-156, etc?

Usually the NVC only sends you a plain letter - they have nothing to do with forms for a K1 application.

After sending the letter of receipt, the NVC will forward the petition to the consulate. (That should've been mentioned in the letter.) From there, the consulate will send you your Packet 3, instructions as what to gather up for your impending interview. That's when you either get the forms that you'll need to fill out, or he'll get instructions to fill it online (I'm not sure which way you get your forms in the Phillipines - the Vancouver consulate asks for filling them out online, but other consulates still do snail mail).

Nini - Vancouver BC, Canada (she's the one who does the forum thing)

Bee - Devon PA, USA (he's the one who gave her the shiny ring)

Getting our sanity tested by bureaucracy since 2007.

Here we go again...

Removal of conditions @ VSC

9/4/2010 - sent!

9/14/2010 - NOA

The NVC will now forward your file onto the consulate who will be interviewing you. From then on you will receive packet 3 which contains all the forms you will need to fill in and return (or supply information as to where they are online).
