funny expressions

I don't know if it's a mena thing or if my husband just has a way with words but he always comes out with these expressions that make me burst out laughing.

For example, he is EXTREMELY upset about something in his flat that keeps breaking down and dealing with the people who sold it to him is just getting him down. Talking to him yesterday I asked, "what's the matter?" and he said,

"i am like the man stuck in the stairwell, I cannot go up and I cannot go down, I have to just stand here and not be able to go anywhere"

I love when he says stuff like that 'cause it's so expressive, you know?

Anyone else have a mena man who comes out with lil gems like these?

This is not an expression but a little mistake in word order Moh made last night....we were watching TV and this guy was going crazy stuff like "Jackass". Moh says, hey that's like assjack. I about died laughing All last night and this morning I kept calling him assjack.

Hicham has said a couple of things like that before....but assjack...that's FUNNY!!!!!

Hicham and I were making fun of our 3 year age difference and he told me I wasn't a "chicken spring" anymore. He thought I was laughing at the joke of it, until I was able to catch my breath and tell him it was "you aren't a spring chicken anymore"!

He's also called the lawn mower a "grass machine".

I should write these things down, because he's said several of them, but I just can't remember them right now.

Do any of your SOs say feet or foot fingers instead of toes? Both my ex and Moh say that.

i can't think of any expressions that my husband uses..... but does anyone know the restaurant California Pizza Kitchen?

Well, he thought it was California Pizza Chicken for about 8 months

Ok so he just called to tell me he's eating a tina-butter (peanut butter) sandwich.

I remember talking about when you need to make wudu while I was there the last time and he kept saying,

"anything that comes from the azz"

He says azz a lot. lol. And he points to it while he says it just in case I don't know what he's talkin' about.

I also love when he talks about the water motor that he's been wrestling with the past 2 months or so. Whenever he talks about things like that he calls it a "she" or a "he" and it just sounds so cute. Like "he is making life very hard for me these days". lol. For the longest time I didn't know who he was talking about.

ahmeds one thing i can remember when i was there he was upset over (something) dont remember what, i had told him to sit down, his reply was how can i sit when im on fire here...i just remember looking up and saying sit down and cool off the fire, just as easy as the fire started

then i dont even remember the instance but he was in a hurry or excited etc i told him would you just keep your pants on he goes whatttttt

I remember Mohamed would always talk about people and say "I LOVE this man... you LOVE this man??" He always accentuate Love

I'd be like.... Ahhhhhh, Yeah?

and ofcourse.. Everybody knows the

Amed always asks my mom when she's going to go "fix the fingers for your feet" (aka, get a pedicure) again. That always cracks me up.

He also says "booth phone" instead of phone booth, "bally bully" instead of bellybutton, "some glasses" instead of sunglasses, and "moustiquos" instead of "mosquitos."

He also calls any part of the leg a "foot." He has knee problems, and he's always pointing to his and asking me to massage his foot.

Oh, and somehow, he gets "neigborhood" and "underwear" confused, so now everyone in my family calls it "neighborhood." When we went to the ballet, he told my sister he thought it was good except that the men didn't seem to be wearing any neighborhood.

I love these, guys! Keep them coming!

Mine too! Well, he writes it. His spoken English is a lot better than written.

He doesn't say car-chase, he says "chase with cars".
