Grr - I knew I shouldn't have found the projected dates!! It's gone from 25th to 26th November! As some small consolation I ran a search for similar cases to me and the average time for NOA1 is 18 days so maybe I'll get lucky :D

Ok, so I'm not very happy. Everyday, my projected NOA2 date drops another day. How frustrating. Its like I'm on pause and each day that passes doesn't even count!! Everyday, my date gets a day further away. (looking for an angry emoticon, cant find one. is this actually intentional not to provide an angry face in our list of smileys??? Are we really THAT politically correct??) Would it really make someone so upset to see a nice bright red angry face?? This is what I'm feeling now. The same person that made this list of smileys probably also sends their child outside with helmet, kneepads, bubblewrap, etc. ......Don't mind me, just venting. since this is the worst face we have, I'll use it.

Hehe - I noticed the sliding dates as well but checking out similar filers I noticed that the average NOA1 time was 18 days and mine went through in 5 so even though my projected date is now 26th November I'm blaming it on all those poor filers who had their NOA1s take ages to come through... or something :)

I wish I could stop myself looking at the estimated date. It just gets depressing to see the day getting further and further away, it feels like we not making any progress. I guess I keep looking as the optimist in me (and thats a very very small part) keeps hoping to see the date move closer.

Yes, everyone is sliding backwards now. The pessimist and the realist in me say it is going to get worse. The optimist has not been heard from lately. :(

I feel better looking at this :)

*edit*

actually that's a big fat lie cause it doesn't take me to the place I want to go!! If you click on your timeline link under your name then click on view similar timelines at the top of your timeline page you will see the average amount of time it takes for NOA1s to be given for cases similar to yours...

*that* made me feel better :)

At least we have all filed. We are all on our way. The journey is going to be long, all you VSC-ers pity us CSC-ers, it will be even longer for us. Some May VSC-ers have started getting NOA2's. Still hovering around 12-20th april for CSC. The thing that gets me is that I really wouldn't mind the waiting if everything was 100% guarenteed at the end. It's the fact that you can go through all this and there is still a chance, for some reason, that someone behind a sheet of glass in london can say no! it could all be for nothing. Sorry....spot the person on the downer! I'm super stressed about the financial aspect due to our position of needing a co-sponsor and nick NEVER having filed taxes as never made enough money.

Buck up little camper!!! London hardly ever denies anyone a K1 visa! You seem to have a straight-forward case and a co-sponsor is nothing to fret about! Check out the UK forum - tons there have received visas with co-sponsors! You'll get one too! Now, put away the inner pessimist! It wil take a long time, BUT you WILL get there...er, here!!!

That makes me feel better too...I'm trying to Buck up! My petition got sent to CSC lucky me. I'm looking at it this way....a long engagement may quell some of my skeptical family and friends...thinking i'm being 'used' for a green card. They haven't been ugly about it...just looking after my best interest. After they met Peter and got to know him better, it eased off some...but they still mention it sometimes...grrrrr.

This is perfectly said. it is exactly what everyone is so stressed about. If we had a definite ending date, or even a definite approved outcome it would be soooo much easier. It's the nature of the beast that kills us.

Lets all just stick together to stay strong during this arduous process that 'outsiders' don't understand.

As for a green card husband? From England? HA! They CANNOT be serious! Personally, I just don't see it. I think the only green thing here is the envy of friends who want a Brit of their own :P

Geordielover...we have the opposite problem....my parents here in scotland (my dad is from Jesmond by the way and I have lots of family there) are the ones that keep trying to talk me out of going. Nicks parents are great support. My parents are stressed about our age difference which is no biggy for us....I'm 26, Nick is coming up for 21. (my toyboy). I have very conservative parents who still haven't given up moaning that I went to art school to persue an art and photographic career (not a real degree or job apparently).

my fiance is albanian, believe me... im actually amazed that my family hasnt said anything of the sort

its probably because we met in italy and all i do is rave about the benefits of living there (like those which i mentioned for the uk)...im just talking nonsense
