i'm still barefoot though...can't find any shoes I like. I hate pointy shoes with big heels and most wedding shoes seem to be just that.

You're not alone! I believe my future sister-in-laws have done more planning for my wedding than I have. I haven't thought beyond 'small' and 'informal'. They apparently have a dress picked out for me already. Nice that they are excited about it though

If you're looking for some pretty flats have you thought about researching Indian khusa shoes? I saw some beautiful ones in Bombay Stores here in Bradford and they came in all colours. Just an idea.

honestly, I think we'll probably end up in a park somewhere for the ceremony, and then go to a restaurant, and then go home

and I'll probably wear a skirt and top, maybe two notches more formal than I wear to work

Lol - well I hate wedding shoes as well - mine are silver I got them in Dorothy Perkins I also bought some nice flats that are gorgeous! Also silver - in the sale they were £5... with my other ones costing £24 I spent less on my two pairs of shoes than my mum did on her one pair for the wedding!!

my wedding is actually quite small. Only 60 people max. No dance floor or anything at reception. Just having a buffet in a room in a restaurant. Got nice ceremony venue. After reception which will probably be over by 10pm me and Nick going to a nice quiet B&B to stay in our own suite complete with hot tub for 2 nights. We having our "honeymoon" later once things settled down.

I have looked at the khusa shoes and I do like them alot. Actually just spotted some nice flats from BHS for a sale price of £13.50.

We have I think a grand total of *counts* 17 I think Very small - no evening reception really - a sit down meal post-wedding then wherever will take us afterwards Next day we are driving Jeremy's family back to Phoenix then staying in LA for the night before flying out to Hawaii the next day

Griff just arrived in London for his interview and medical! OMG! I am so excited! I cannot believe it all happens tomorrow!!!! I wonder if I'll be able to sleep tonight?

How exciting Julez!! I don't think I would be able to sleep either, but when it happens for us I will try to be in Montreal with Scott (since it's not that far from NY and really shouldn't be too difficult), and at least we can go through being jittery together. I think it must be harder having to wait for the phone call from him! Still, how exciting and wonderful.

I think we'll only be 4! Bride, groom, witness, and city hall officiant. But then later we'll do a bigger thing and I have no idea how many people that will be as we haven't even thought about planning it yet. Though I still want something intimate.
