Ah, but Scotland is part of the United Kingdom! As are England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

With that said, I still think Scots should be able to be processed through the US Embassy in Edinburgh.

me too. I agree with that one. Would definatly make my life easier. It's so expensive to travel down there. I think UK should be same as EU. The German fiance(e)s don't have to travel to brussels for an interview.

We have a US consulate in Edinburgh but they don't do any visas.

Just had to check in. I am celebrating my case being received by NVC!!!!! YAY!!!!!:dance: it got there yesterday, so hopefully it will get turned around to London by the end of the week! We may actually make our Feb 16th wedding yet! although we are prepared to move the date, I still have hope!!!!!

sending all July filers approval/embassy love! I love this forum (L)

I'm sure you'll make it - our wedding date is 11th Feb but that seems to just be wishful thinking now - heh :) 16th Feb is my birthday also :)

Someone pinch me!!!! We're APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gratzies!!! So so happy for you!! It gets harder and harder to say it- esp to those filing after me! but I truly do mean it from the bottom of my heart

I had to reply to Jeraly's comment about not wanting to be picked last - I feel like I have a broken leg and can't even play.

I know what you can use for the wedding that is old - the paperwork for the K1 visa.

It will come soon enough for all of us - I just know it. Keep the faith everyone. Remember, we have to have positive thoughts!

 I might tuck it into my blue garter  I'm rapidly running out of positive thoughts... I thought that maybe, just maybe we would have a sniff of an early approval if fate was on our side in a bid to get our wedding underway on time... alas it seems it was not to be... :(

 Friends and fellow July Filers! We got approved!!!

Checked USCIS feeling hopeless and then i saw the date has changed...i thought it was a touch but when

i checked...WE WERE APPROVED!!!

Thank you all so much for the support...To all the other July filers...be strong...the letter from CRIS

will soon be in your inbox!!!

Peewee

Gratzies to you too!! Seems there is a lot of movement here!! :D

hi every body Nothing again today! :crying:

claudia

Heh - story of my life :) *refreshes again* Oh! What a surprise... nothing.

yes same currency but still some places in England wont accept Bank of Scotland Scottish notes. It's a nightmare. I've had several fights with people in England not taking my money and trying to point out "LOOK IT'S POUND STIRLING.....IT'S THE SAME VALUE JUST DIFFERENT PICTURES!"

WHOOPS!!! Hope I'm not caught.

I sent Charry's Christmas presents from my parents and my self along with the I-134 on Monday via DHL, items detailed and insurance paid.

Today they are in Manila and are schedualed to be delivered. Apparently, I did not know this at the time, DHL contracts a 3rd party to deliver to the final destination, so I can not track it past Manila.

Well in looking on the DHL site for the Philippines they say that shipping of Jewelery and rare gems or precious metals are listed on DHL's prohibited commodities list.

On a later page they say that watches/jewelery are accepted if "individual items less than $100 & total shipment less than $25,000" made me worry but they didnt catch me yet. :innocent:

My parents sent a pair of earings worth 100 and I sent a bracelet worth 290.. yup. I broke the rules

No update yet on the visa.
