metric is far more logical and easier to follow... I wish everyone would use it :)

and I WISH the Americans would come on board with A-sizes for paper! I LOVE the A-sizes, and couldn't believe it when I heard you don't use it over there... it'll be like going back to the stone ages on those two things alone :P;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Affadavit of Support help!

Hi everyone! Just started to look at the form I-134 Affadavit of Support that I will send to my fiance for the K1 interview. A few questions I was hoping you could help me with!

1. I will not have any problems meeting the income requirements, but I am a new teacher and have just started working full-time in August. Before that, I worked part-time while I went to school. Do you think this could potentially pose a problem at the interview - that I haven't been working too long? My income tax returns will only be those I filed while going to school. I do have some money in savings and stocks as well. My dad could co-sponsor but he is paranoid about putting all his info out there...

2. Do I need to send the originals, regular photocopies, or notarized copies of the statements from employer/bank, tax returns, and pay stubs?

3. Finally, just checking that it is ok to put "N/A" in the question that asks if I plan to make specific contributions to the immigrant? (I saw this on the example VJ form)

6/21/07 - I-129F Sent : transferred to CSC at some point...

7/12/07 - Received date as shown on NOA1 Hardcopy

7/18/07 - NOA1

7/21/07 - Check FINALLY Cashed!!!

7/24/07 - Finally got receipt number off the back of cancelled check!

11/23/07 - Our first ever touch!

11/27/07 - Touched on website

11/28/07 - NOA2!!!!!!!!

I-129f was approved in 160 days from your filing date.

12/21/07 - Received at NVC and assigned case number!

12/27/07 - Case forwarded to USEM

01/04/07 - Case received by USEM

02/25/08 - Scheduled St. Luke's Medical Appointment 7:00 AM

03/03/08 - Interview at USEM APPROVED

The automated service from NVC is not accurate. Although my case was received and sent out of NVC, the automated service reported that they have no record of my case there. You should speak to a live person to get your case number.

05/07/2007 : I-129F Sent

05/29/2007 : NOA1

09/28/2007 : NOA2 (144 days from filing date)

11/02/2007 : NVC Received Case (35 days from NOA2)

11/06/2007 : NVC Sent Case to HCM Consulate

11/16/2007 : HCMC Received Case

11/17/2007 : HCMC Sent Packet 3

11/20/2007 : HCMC Received Packet 3

So did no one get approved today? I know I didn't. Not a touch. Not a nudge. I'd even settle for a push or a shove at this point.

I'm all for the metric system too..it's so much easier in nursing to do drug calculations with metric. I still deal with both....converting lbs to kg constantly. It's a pain. That's most of the math right there is converting to metric...if we just used it..we wouldn't need to convert! That's half the chance of med errors right there!

There were lots of July approvals but none of them hang out here. There were 3 members with petitions sent on 7/25 & 1 member with a petition sent on 7/20 that entered their approvals today.
