Hey there. Now that we are approved and Rama is getting his police report and immun record while awaiting his packets....I have a question. I am getting a letter from my employer and notorizing the I-134 to send to him by DHL. Is that all that I need to submit with the I-134? I have read that paystubs and tax returns are not necessary at this step, but rather when we apply for status change after he gets to the US God Willing. Does this sound about right to you all? Thanks!

These days are bright! :)

Happy in Seattle :jest: ,

Crissy

It is my understanding that you want to send paystubs, tax returns with to the interview! at least I have heard that London has been really picky about seeing these at the interview. I wouldn't leave anything to chance and send it all to the interview and then keep it all for the AOS process.

Just my 2 cents!

Got a question you maybe able to answer, how do you call to inquire about a pending application at CSC? All I get is automated answering is there a way around it to get to a live person??? I appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Rob

Thanks so much for the info

You do not need 3 years of income tax returns unless you are self

employed, or unless your foreign fiance(e) is applying for the visa at

one of the consulates that has a local policy of requiring 3 years of

tax returns.

But still the form itself does not state you need 3 years history..

Now that I'm looking at this I may hold off on sending the i-134 until I can get my records. as I said, too much information can't hurt.

That reads to me that it does say you need the 3 years if you are self-employed.

Either way, I agree, more info can't hurt.

Yes that is how it reads.. But that information was posted by someone answering a question from someone else asking where in the I-134 does it say you need 3 years of tax returns. Apparently he read it somewhere as well..

The point I was making is that I'm not sure where anyone ever got that information as the I-134 does not say it needs that much information and apparently has not requested that much information since before 2003.

Unless someone has a copy of the i-134 frrom before 2003 we can only assume that at one point 3 years of returns was a requirement in the I-134 from previous years. Or as this person also stated, one of the consulates that has a local policy of requiring 3 years of

tax returns. It could also be that someone went to an interview with less that 3 years of tax returns and was told to come back once you have more information and that person then wrote a guide and it has been in the mythos for what is needed for the 134 ever since.. We honestly dont know..

Me again.... and maybe I'm just a little sensitive to the subject but.... I often wonder why some don't update their profiles.... my guess would be that's it's not necessarily that they abandoned their profile but maybe abandoned the site because the haven't exactly felt accepted and/or responded to. Just a thought..... I dunno, just wondering here....

Not to worry, so far most everyone is friendly and helpful. I am new to this site and so far so good. Lets just keep everyone informed of our case progress and share any experience that may help others in dealing with their cases. I am keeping my fingers crossed hopefully we hear some good news soon!!! :)

in my experience, it's exTREMEly rare for someone to go very long without a reply, and for those who do, I doubt it has anything to do with where they come from... I'm happy to answer many questions, but if it's clear to me the person hasn't done the first thing to help themselves - read the guides, or do a basic search, say - then I'd rather not answer; it just seems the height of laziness to expect other people to type out huge long answers that already exist elsewhere, particularly when some of those questions are asked seventeen times a week ;)

that's just me, but I doubt I'm alone there ;)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

That's one of the strangest posts I've read on VJ... uh hello everybody here is practically from a different country. Its probably one of the most diverse websites on the planet. Who cares where you are from or where your fiancee is from?

Visa took too long, grew apart and withdrew visa after six months.

Not that rare....my first post on VJ (although I had been reading it for awhile) was an honest request for advice, that got zero replies....I was bummed, but....

just because it's your experience doesn't make it rare; you COULD be the only one ;)

and anyway, I still don't know the answer to that question... and rather than clog up messageboards with 'I don't know' posts, whenever I don't know (which is frequent), I leave those things to someone else... usually someone else comes along pretty soon, who DOES know, and posts an answer

in any case, my first assumption upon seeing no replies would be 'hmm, guess no one knows', not 'I wonder if they don't like people from Japan?' ;)

Well yeah, of course....but still, an "I don't know" would have been appreciated, just to let me know someone had read it...

In other news - has anyone else noticed the spiffy new timetable layout?! Or is it just my firefox update being nice to me..?!

Oh and no movement on my timeline or USCIS :( BOOO!!!!

MightyAtom, there is a column on all index pages labelled 'views'; that's where you look to see if someone has read your post

no, no movement for me either, Jeraly... last updated day is still August 2nd :(

but the timeline layout is definitely new! very nice :)

even if it DOES still say Christmas Day for me; if I'm sure of one thing, it's that I will NOT be getting my NOA2 then

Lol - mine is saying 26th - we really are almost identical with our timelines - literally a day out from each other :) I hope our NOA2s work the same way :D

OK guys - I have gone through the spreadsheet (so far only CSC) and checked every person without a NOA2 to see if they have updated their timelines etc. I have sent a couple of PMs to people who hadn't updated/filled in (we're surprisingly good though!) and deleted one person that appeared to no longer exist (after searching six pages of partial matches just to make sure!)

A couple of points I would like to make again!

1) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR REC DATE IS CORRECT AND THE DATE YOUR PETITION WAS RECEIVED AS PRINTED ON YOUR NOA1 HARD COPY

2) Make sure you update your timelines accordingly - we're doing pretty well at the moment but if you do get a NOA2 please make sure you let myself or WeeDebz know!!!

You can find the spreadsheet here

Thanks!!
