I became a total addict in the last week. I would log in and hit refresh every few minutes. Then realize I was being obsessive and log out.

Wait 5 minutes, then repeat.

But hey, I caught it! So I think at this point, or for sure next week, you can confidently check a few times a day. It just gets hard when you see the same thing again and again. I swear I did a double take when I saw that mine had changed! And then was so nervous, like I said, I didn't even click on it. d'oh!

1st off. CONGRATS on the MANY, MANY APROVALS!!!

I think I might be able to help a little with the "What's Next" questions. After you have received notification of an Approved NOA2 then the USCIS website is indeed useless. Now you have to call the NVC to check on the status. Now, let me explain a couple of things. The NVC is located in New Hampshire which is just down the road from Vermont, so for all of you who applied to the VSC then your petition should get to the NVC fairly quickly. From What I Understand, the CSC saves the petitions up in bulk and then sends them to the NVC.

In our case, the petition was at the NVC for something like 5 days before it was forwarded on to the Embassy. While the Petition is at the NVC it will be reassigned a new tracking number. Please do not be concerned though. You can still track your case with the NVC by the Case number from your NOA1/NOA2. The people at NVC were much more helpful than USCIS.

In our case, we were able to check the Embassy received date by checking out the Website for the Consulate Section in Guayaquil Ecuador.

Once the case was received at Guayaquil they sent the packet 4 out to Belen. When Belen received the packet, she had nearly everything taken care of with the exception of the medical exam. Just so you know, most of the Consulate Sections have Sample Packet 4s, so that you and your fiancé can prepare yourselves in advance. Once Belen completed the requirements for her Packet 4 she called and scheduled an interview with the Consulate Section at the Embassy.

Here is the number to the NVC: (603) 334-0700(Open until Midnight)

As a side note: We received confirmation today that Belen's interview date has in fact been moved from the 23rd on January to the 17th of December. That makes me... A very, very fortunate and Happy man!!!

Take Care and I hope this helps...

Thanks alot for writing this and taking time to do it. Our petition should be sent to NVC very soon. we were approved yesterday. I'd really like to track it's movement to NVC and onto the embassy in Moscow. Does NVC have its own website? When should I try calling NVC to find out if/when they received it?? Thanks.

I've read that it's sound to wait about a week from your NOA2 before first calling them.

Here's what I took from another post, which I think was borrowed from Bill y Bella, which I think was borrowed from another poster...

Here are the steps for monitoring your package after the NOA2.

1. Once your I-129F is approved (NOA2), your case will be forwarded to the National Visa Center. Normally it will take about 1 to 2 weeks to get from CSC/VSC to NVC. (Note: VSC is frequently much faster than this and CSC is sometimes much slower.)

2. Start calling NVC everyday about 1 week after your I-129F has been approved at: 603-334-0700 press 1 then 2. You will need to reach a live person to get information on your case since the NVC’s automated system does not handle K1 visas. Give this person your receipt #, they will let you know the status of your case, whether it has not yet been received, already received, or already sent out to the embassy. Once NVC receives your case, they will assign a new case # that will begin with BGTXXXXXXXXXX.

-- BGT = Bogota, so yours may be different.

A. If it has not been received.

Keep calling until they receive it. Don’t pay attention to their script. They will tell you it may take 4 weeks for them to receive your case.

B. If your case has been received.

Ask them when it was received and if it has been forwarded to the embassy. If your case has been received but not forwarded, wait 2 to 3 days from the day NVC received it to call back and ask again. If it has been forwarded, most

often than not cases will be sent out in 2 days after NVC receives it.

C. Once you know when your case has left NVC to the embassy you can now calculate when it should arrive via DHL. It should not take very long but you can go to the DHL website and probably get an estimated transit time from the US to the city where the embassy is located. I think the petitions are shipped to the embassy from a NVC office in New Hampshire but I am not 100% sure of that. Your case will also arrive electronically from NVC to the embassy.

Thanks.

NVC Does have a website, but I am not sure if you can track your status on there or not. Trust me you are just as well off calling the number I provided. The people at NVC are incredibly nice and helpful. We filed through the VSC just like you. I called the NVC only a couple of days after I knew our NOA2 had been approved. The people at NVC were not bothered by this at all.

It wouldn't hurt to give them a call tomorrow. The NVC will be able to tell you when the Petition arrived and when it left. From what I understand, an electronic version is sent out as well as the hard copy. More likely than not, you will have to wait a week or so for your petition to arrive at the Embassy in Moscow. Have you checked to see whether or not the Consulate Section in Moscow has a website or how helpful it is? I have to tell you, I have been extremely impressed with the Consulate Section in Ecuador. Hopefully the Consulate in Moscow is just as helpful.

Best of luck neighbor...

149 days and after the first touch I got the petition approval too. For some reason I'm not overjoyed. I'm very grateful I didn't get a RFE, but at the same time I think 149 days is way, way, way too long for this.

I just should not sit here and complain because I know some of us did get a RFE and have a 1-2 week delay and even more stress. I think about these folks and really feel for them because I felt there was a decent chance I'd get a RFE as well.

What also struck me was how accurate the VJ predicted date was. I was predicted to be as 'early,' as December 11, so it was only 12 days earlier than the prediction.

Still....I've waited for almost 5 MONTHS, so here is my happy dance.:dance::dance::dance::dance:

Best wishes to our friends here who have to deal with a RFE and fast processing thoughts to all of you waiting for the NOA2.
