Well it finally happened, after the wait and the worry our interview was successful, they didnt even ask about the immunizations. They couldnt find one form that they lost but the CO said to expect the green card in 2-4 weeks. We are both very happy. Life begins anew each day.

the CO said to expect the green card in 2-4 weeks.
The "CO" is a Consulate Officer who works abroad at the embassy, did you have your green card interview there? The "AO" is an Adjudications Officer who does green card interviews at local USCIS. See the Official "VJ" dictionary for more terms. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=definition.

I suspect you had the latter, but we don't want to confuse the new members on here.

Approved, Elena is Legal
She was just as legal before getting her green card as after. She was legal when she entered with a visa. And after you filed for AOS she was automatically granted authorized stay by the attorney general while your AOS application was pending.

Congrats guys.... no more USCIS hassles. (Well, for a couple years, at least.)

Sorry in all my excitement I forgot my nomenclature. CO can also stand for Case Officer which is what the guy called himself.

Now that I think back to it.... I think our interviewer introduced herself as "officer" so-and-so as well. I don't remember her making the distinction between a case officer or adjudication officer, but she did say she was handling our case. I guess that makes her our "case officer" that's also the "adjudicating officer"?

Either way, she wasn't a "consular officer" because she wasn't at the consulate. Now... in theory, couldn't a "case officer" at a consulate also be an "adjudicating officer"???

A (wo)man of many hats, perhaps?

I will have to ask my wife if I can have some of my ummm our money to send to you. Today we bought more maternity clothes, looked at a new front door, and picked up about 100,000 paint samples so that I can paint the baby's room, the living, room, the kitchen, and the office. So I will take donations in cash or labor.

Wait can I just go on Vacation with you slim, Im going to need one after all that work.

What about if I do the labor in exchange for a PayPal deposit?

Then again, paint samples aren't going to get me too far on my, oh wait... our vacation.

Don't forget to sell your old door on Craig's list or EBay. Someone will buy it. Also keep in mind, doors are pretty good wood for a bonfire!

Should I have gotten the new door put in first? I already sold the old one and the guy picked it up last night, i figured its summer and warm outside so whats the problem.

The problem is not with the weather or the breeze... it's with what's in the breeze.

SKEETERS!!!!!

There's nothing like relaxing on the couch or laying in bed and getting bit on the forehead (or a "very uncomfortable" place, a little further south) by a blood sucker! The itching... the scratching... the itching and the scratching.......

At least hang some cardboard or something!
