We are going to start our K-1 Visa process.

We are not sure about the photos we have to send.

I-129F form says:

"The dimension of the full frontal facial image of you and your fiancé(e) in separate photos should be about one inch from your chin to the top of your hair in 3/4 frontal view."

USCIS site says:

"Effective August 2, 2004, USCIS has changed its requirements for photographs to a standard passport-style photograph. Please see this informational flyer for more details.

Washington, DC — In accordance with language specified in the Border

Security Act of 2003, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

announced a change in the photo requirements for all applicants from

a three-quarter face position to a standard, full-frontal face position to take

effect August 2, 2004.

USCIS will accept both three-quarter and full-frontal color photographs until

September 1, 2004, after which only full-frontal color will be accepted."

Today I took full-frontal color photo (showing my ears).

Which one do we have to send? :help:

As an advice, you use those especifications for the interview pic as well. Well, I am taking both the 5x5 and the 5x7 photos, since I don´t want to feel the nervousness of being sent across the street to get the picture taken.

They say they accept both forms in Rio, US passport pic (5x5) and brazilian passport pic (5x7) but I heard of people with 5x7 pics to have it taken again (it´s instant, but if you´re already terrified of the interview, imagine having to go out and come back to face them again?)

i-129f is old. they probably have so many still for people to use that they use them up first before making an updated one. that is why it is soo important to check the website because they update that to keep the costs and such up to date while the forms might not be. Or they keep the forms old just to confuse people so they don't get a visa. i wouldn't be surprised.
