When do I complete the medical?

Hi folks,

Can you someone please let me know when the medical is completed if I'm having my interview in Montreal?

Does it happen between recieving Packet 3 and 4? Or does it happen between recieving Packet 4 and my interview?

I know I know that I need to get a timeline on here. I only have access to the internet at work, so it's hard to be sneaky around my boss and find time to fill in the timeline. I promise, I'm working on it! :)

K-1 Journey

04/09/06 - met for the first time

03/24/07 - proposed!

03/28/07 - sent I-129 to NVC

04/04/07 - NVC received I-129

06/26/07 - NVC sent approval

07/12/07 - Montreal Consulate recieved approved petition

07/20/07 - recieved Packet 3 from Montreal

07/24/07 - sent Packet 3 back to Montreal

** obtained police certificate

08/07/07 - Montreal confirmed that they recieved Packet 3

09/21/07 - INTERVIEW BOOKED NOV. 9TH, 9AM

10/17/07 - Completed Medical (took 5 minutes!)

11/09/07 - Visa APPROVED in Montreal (should receive in 2-3 weeks)

11/16/07 - picked up visa at the post office today (2-3 weeks my a$$)

Entered US December 4th!!

Married December 22nd

AOS Journey

01/11/08 - sent AOS package to Chicago Lockbox

01/13/08 - USPS confirmed delivery of AOS package

01/14/08 - received new SSN with married name

01/19/08 - received all 3 NOA's

02/04/08 - case transferred to CSC (notified online)

02/11/08 - biometrics

02/14/08 - case received at CSC

03/08/08 - approval notice for travel document sent (notified online)

03/12/08 - EAD card approved

03/14/08 - received AP

03/15/08 - received EAD

03/16/08 - AP and EAD touched?? I have already received them.

03/26/08 - AOS touched!!

03/27/08 - AOS touched again...

05/12/08 - Card Production Ordered!!

05/13/08 - Welcome letter has been sent

Lifting of Conditions I-751

02/12/10 - Mailed petition to Vermont

Just make an appt when you get your packet3. The way it's going you'll have lots of time before you get packet4, which is your interview letter.

2006/11/29 : I-129F Sent

2006/12/12: I-129F NOA1 (Receipt)

2007/02/22: I-129F NOA2 (Approved)

2007/03/06: Package Left From NVC

2007/03/21: Rec Instructions (Pkt 3)

2007/03/27: Pkt 3 sent to Montreal Consulate

2007/03/28: Pkt 3 rec. @ Montreal Consulate

2007/04/12: Entered into system

2007/04/19: Medical

2007/07/25: Phone call, interview Aug/Sept. Email, at least 6 months for interview

2007/08/01: Phone call, 5-7 months

2007/08/08: Phone call. INTERVIEW

2007/08/16: Interview letter arrives.

2007/09/03: My baby girl leaves for Trent University

2007/09/12: Interview@8:15 APPROVED

2007/09/19: Visa received in hand

2007/10/08: POE Sarnia/Port Huron

I haven't even recieved packet 3 yet (hopefully coming this week sometime), and i was going to go ahead and book the medical, but I had read something on here that said it could be troublesome to do the medical too early. So I was just curious as to when Montreal will ask for the medical to be complete. If it's not till after I recieve packet 4, then I know I will have plenty of time to update my immunizations.

PKG 3 only asks that you have your medical arranged as part of the checklist. So it's just that you have your appt booked at PKG 3 stage. Your medical is good for 1 year. You have to bring your medical results to the interview only. :thumbs:

oh yeah, you need your letter from the consulate, that comes in packet 3, with your mtl# for the appt.

I read on another thread that it is only good for six months. Which is true? I hope that you are correct that it is good for one year...

I read on another thread that it is only good for six months. Which is true? I hope that you are correct that it is good for one year...

The instructions for I-485 clearly state it's a year- pg 4.

I was upset too that vancouver refuses to take any cases from Ontario but when I think about it, If I worked at Vancouver I would not want to take on additional work unless I got paid a lot more :) MTL are in a hole they dug themselves, what reasons do Vancouver have to want to help them out?
