Look at my timeline. I was missing my NOA2 and I got it the mail today... notice how he just had the interview today as well?...

Our petition was approved on 05/03/07 and I received the NOA2 in the mail yesterday, it was postmarked 06/29/07. Boy, oh boy.

I guess you dont physically need the NOA2 in your hand before the interview? I thought you have to give that piece of paper (NOA2) to your fiance and they took it to the interview.

No you don't need the NOA2 unless you are adjusting status (And even then, you only need the NOA2 for the I-130 only) You can use the letter that you got from the NVC stating that they received your approved petition... well that's what I used and it worked just fine. He was approved before my mail even came that day lol. Even if you do not get the NVC letter, then it is still okay because the embassy already has your approved petition and therefore they know it is approved. So if you get packet 3 in the mail.. just run with it because you are approved.

mamalovedada - Please call USCIS to see if theky have held onto your I-129F. if you filed for the I-129F too late, then they will process only your I-130 and you will be waiting endlessly. Call them to enquire about it. For some reason I-129F cases that are not received in time to be paired up with the I-130 are stuck in some sort of limbo.

The only thing that's of importance on the NOA2 for the I-129F for K3s is your A# that is assigned if you're coming over on a K3. Doesn't show up on the I-130 NOA2. You'll need that A# for AOS. Well, if you don't have it I think they just assign you a new one but best to keep everything together.

We were also approved may 3rd and just got ours. I had to call them and ask for a reprint though, the i-130 approval receipt is required for the AOS application. But I would imagine a print out of the website would suffice also.

I-130 approval notice - needed for adjustment of status

I-129F approval notice - has your alien registration number on it (you need that number for adjustment of status and employment authorisation)

04/02/05 - 1st of 5 trips to the Philippines. The last of which I spent 6 months.

04/02/07- 129-F sent to NSC

04/09/07- Receipt notice date for NOA1

04/13/07- Received NOA1

07/09/07- Touched - Due to phone call I am guessing

07/10/07- 2nd touch hmmmm should I be excited? HAHA

07/11/07- 3rd touch - may or may not be due to a phone call.

07/16/07- 4th touch

07/17/07- 5th touch

07/20/07- NOA2

07/26/07- Received NOA2 hard copy

07/26/07- Received by NVC

07/30/07- NVC Shipped petition to Manila Embassy

10/05/07- Interview date WOW/ Approved
