More of the same here. A few touches just when forms were first received and/or transferred, then nothing. I can't figure out what is taking so long. Also it drives me crazy that it seems people going for K1 visas are being approved much earlier. I just can't figure out why they prioritize things the way they do.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

Just saw this thread.....I am one of those "betweeners". I filed my I-130 in March and my I-129 in April so I am never sure quite where I belong.

I have not seen anything yet since my I-130 was touched on April 2nd and my I-129 was touched on June 1st.

I would have gone for the K1 except that my father had a heart attack a couple of years ago and I did not want to get stuck in the U.S. having to get the advance parole or whatever it is, should he have another heart attack or should some other emergency crop up. Well, that and I did not want the government telling me when I had to get married, months down the road. I figured that whatever happens now, we are married and no one can change or mess with that. But alas, now we wait.

I figured that since we got married, they would see we are serious as well and approve us quickly. Everything I saw seemed to say that K3's were just as quick as K1's, but for some reason the K1's seem to be processed quicker.

We have no approval either, the last touch we did have was back in April, i think that was due to my husband receiving his Citizanship and upgradeing the petition

God please give us an approval this week... :innocent:

I am flying out this weekend to be with my wife for a month. I miss her like hell and she really needs me since she is 5 months pregnant. Hopefully by some miracle things proceed smoothly and the papers come to India while I am there, then I will just extend my trip and stay for the interview and hopefully bring her back with me by October and she can have the baby here, that would be awesome! :)

Hi All

I filed our I-130 on March 8 and it was received March 13th. Filed the I129f on 3/29 and it was received 4/5. The 129F got a touch in May - and the I-130 got a touch on 8/2/07.

I called immigration today via the RFE option 4. The woman was very nice - she was able to tell me that the cases had not yet been assigned to an adjudicator. She couldn't tell much else. She did say that a clean case might take a week or so to ajudicate once it reaches a person.

I got the impression that the touches are simply cases being moved from one place in the warehouse to another place in the warehouse - sort of like a queue.

Does this make sense to everyone ???
