Travel en route to entering the US

Hi there, a quick question: I'm filing an I-129F for my Brazilian fiancee, with the intent that she will be able to enter the U.S. in early July 2008. We want to have a nonlegal wedding in Brazil for her family at the end of June 2008 followed by a honeymoon before she immigrates to the US (and then we'll have a legal wedding here in August). We were looking at having our honeymoon in one of the Carribean islands like Aruba. Do the US immigration laws say that she has to enter the US directly from Brazil on the K1 visa, or is it acceptable for us to stop somewhere such as one of the islands en route (Before she enters US territory)?

Thanks for the help!

Y'all can stop anywhere you want before entering the US, The K-1 is a one time entry into the US, afterwards you could leave but unless you have Advanded Parole (AP) you will probably be denied re-entry.

Good Luck!

You can travel before entering the US, but do careful about any flights that transit through airports in the US or its territories.

OP - Your deadlines seem tight, I would check to other Brazil timelines to see how long it is currently taking. There is no guaranteed amount of time it could take. Also, after granted the visa, you have 6 months to use it, which may or may not affect your June plans.
