Yeah, just like that. Go to that address and pay the $100. Keep the receipt and bring it to the interview.

Besides that, you have to pay for vaccination (I forgot how much), and medical exam ($75).

Amen brother!!!!!!!!!!!! Fee for the AOS will be $1010 for it.

For the VIsa fee will cost only $100 and $10-$20 USA dollar for the Vacination Fee depend on the person......... So Thai Pham be ready for that heh? You will fork out more money when she get here. SO it is just the beginning.

1. Tell her to pay the $100 Visa Fee first,

2. Call the place to make appoinment for the Vacinnation right away... cost u $ 10-$20 US

3. Take 2x2 Picture for Visa Photo

4. Try to look for Airplane Ticket for her and her kid? This will be close to $2000 for you.

5. Good Luck on the Interview, Get all your evidence prepare.

Thank you for your helpful info. She got everything done yesterday, except the medical exam which she will have it done next week at Cho Ray .

About evidences. we have almost everything, but I am wondering about our yahoo chat log, because our main communication is yahoo chat and yahoo voice chat. we have more than 1000 pages of yahoo chat, should I print them all and mail that to her ? Is there any service in Saigon that print out text docs for you ?

Thank you again.

Thai Pham

P.s I don't know if her kid is going, because she will not be able to go to work if the kid tags along.

Thai Pham,

There is no need to print 1000 pages of chat logs. You need to prove chatting is a regular method of communication, so print enough to show that you chat regularly. It depends on your situation, but in our case we had known each other for a few years, so we showed the first page of many chat sessions, and include one full log every month, regularly over the years.

Focus on other types of evidence too. 4 personal meetings means a world of difference compared to only 1 trip + 10000 pages of chat logs. Photos from the trips, used boarding passes, hotel receipts, park tickets, etc. Letters, phone calls, email, money transfer, ... a lot of things must have accumulated over the years.

For printing, she can print them herself in Sai Gon. Computer/internet shops abound at almost every corner on the street... many have printing service.

Good luck,

sealedkiss

Thai,

You are almost there. A month away from the big day. Don't worry about the money at all. If you are keeping track of what you spend for this whole ordeal, beleive me, you will go crazy. 100 bucks for the interview is chump change compare to all the dope you have to shell out later for airplane tickets, AOS, driver license, car, clothes and many many many other things. All and all, your money means nothing if you really love her, right?

Enough said, let's get ready for the big day. There is no need to print 1000+ pages of chat log. Trust me, they won't even glance at it. Sealedkiss said it well, 4 trips will means day and night versus pages of chat log. If I can make one recommendation about the medical exam, I would use IOM on Pham Ngoc Thach rather than Cho Ray. Good luck

I used to be indecisive. Now I am just not sure ...

Kevin and Loan,

Well said! Thai Pham reminds me of me back then... counting each FEES and CHARGES. I lost count now, more like, I don't care any more... money comes and goes but the joy of being united is invaluable!

Just to add to this, when my fianceé came to do her medical exam, the place (IOM) was booked solid. The earliest slot they had was 3 days later, which she took. So plan accordingly. Actually your interview is July 20; I would get the shots, the medical exam, and the visa fees taken care of as soon as possible. You need several days to organize the paperwork and evidence. If you haven't, now is the time to verify those papers you've always assumed you have so there is no surprise. Did the dog chew on Ho Khau? Oh my goodness, my passport is expiring in a month - I didn't notice that. Make photocopies / translations as needed. Don't forget to bring all the originals to the interview. Don't forget both of your birth certificates, originals and copies, among other things.

If I can make one recommendation about the medical exam, I would use IOM on Pham Ngoc Thach rather than Cho Ray. Good luck

I heard air fare is high around this time of the year. But my wife told me ticket price is 730 USD for her and 600 USD for our 2-yr-old daugher. I am sending her money today, and she will book the tickets right away.

I think that prices are not that bad at all. Except that my daughter is 2 yr old this July 6, so her price is 70% of an adult price. If she's less than 2 yr old, her ticket price is about 200 USD.

My wife went to the travel agents on Pasteur street (# 178 or 190?) right across from Phong Cong Chung So 1. I also bought ticket the before. Their price is pretty reasonable compare to other agents.
