Packet 4 arrived yesterday and I found out that my Middle Name was misspelled. Instead of Clariño, they put it there Clarino...yeah, just the "ñ"!!! Will this be a problem during my interview? What will I do to correct this? Thanks!!!

K-1 Fiancee Visa

1-26-2007 - I-129F package sent to TSC

1-29-2007 -- I-129F received and signed for at 5:24 AM

2-05-2007 -- NOA1 issued

5-01-2007 -- Touched!

5-03-2007 -- NOA2!!!

5-04-2007 -- Touched!

5-16-2007 -- NVC received our case

6-25-2007 -- Packet 4 delivered by DHL!

7-16-2007 -- Early medical

7-27-2007 -- Medical

8-03-2007 -- Interview - APPROVED!

8-09-2007 -- Visa was delivered today!

9-12-2007 -- Flight to the U.S. [POE - Chicago]

10-18-2007 - U.S. Church Wedding in Ozark, Arkansas!

What if the birthdate is incorrect? I just noticed now that mine in erroneously encoded.

Thanks, Bien! Hehehe Over anxious for the interview probably. I thought this might be a problem since my Passport and Birth Certificate used the ñ. Anyway, thanks for the reply guyz...hehehe :unsure:

MARCH 13, 2007- NOA1

MARCH 19, 2007- REC'D BY SNAIL MAIL

May 23, 2007- APPROVED!

May 24, 2007- Rec'd e mail stating I was approved on the 23rd!!!!

May 29, 2007- Arrives at NVC

May 30, 2007- Called NVC and received MNL#

May 31, 2007- Left NVC headed to MANILA

June 4, 2007- Petition Arrives at USE Manila

June 12, 2007- Packet Mailed from Manila

June 25, 2007- Rec'd Packet

July 27, 2007- Medical appointment Aug. 3, 2007- August 3rd Interview, APPROVED!!! 149 days from filing!!!

Sept. 7,2007- Mary will be landing in LAX

That's a HUGE problem that needs to be address IMMEDIATELY and could result in an A/R or delay in processing the visa.

For those who have the same case as mine...birth date is wrongly encoded in the Appointment Letter (and US Embassy Online System) even though I-129F and I-130 submitted were all correct.

I called the US Embassy Hotline a while ago, and I was informed to do the following:

1. Write a request letter to amend incorrect birth date. You may fax it at 02-528-6471 attention to: Operations Unit, Immigrant Visa Section, United States Embassy,..just add the complete address. Then call them back after 2-3 weeks, if indeed they change the data in the database.Keep a copy of your submittal for future reference, in case, no amendment is made.

2. Do not forget to write the ff. in your letter: Case No./ Complete Name/Visa Category/Phil Address/Contact No.

3. Attach in your letter you Phil passport/NSO certified marriage certificate/copy of the appointment letter.
