What if my Green Card doesn't arrive in time?

 I sent my documents for the lifting of conditions and it was received on June 14th. I'm still waiting for the fingerprint letter. My 2 year green card expires beginning of August and I am getting really worried that the card might not arrive in time.

Should I leave the country if the card expires? This whole thing is worrying me.

I would not recomend you to travel with the expired card, normally USCIS sends a letter extending your residence for one year while they review your i-751, i traveled out the country with the letter and expired card with no problems. You can also make an info pass apointment and request a stamp in your passport if you need to travel. Good luck !

Like others have said, Don't panic, you will receive your NOA saying they have received your application, ON the same NOA paper it will inform you that your green card has been extended for 1 year from the expiration date, I used that form at the French embassy to get my wife a tourist visa, since our traveling date was going to take us past the green card expiration date.

Gone but not Forgotten!
