Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?

Weekends stress the heck out of me!!!!!!!!! They feel like wasted NOA2 days!!!!!!!!

Hehe, that's exactly what I've been thinking.

This is where information would help...such as how are they dealing with these delays...are they working weekends? Extra hours?? What is being done to push these petitions through and get people on track to be reunited with those they love. Im facing heart issues here with my SO being 8000 miles away and Im the caregiver for my elderly parents. How can I keep on this way??? Working nights, caring for them...and right now I need medical help and fear a second hosptial stay....its so hard on us both when he can't be here to be by my side through all this.... Just information is all im asking for...

I'm sorry you're taking this so hard. I don't think they will be giving us any additional information, though. Hopefully next week will be a more productive period for VSC. All we can do is keep our hopes up and vent on here when it feels like it's getting to be too much. Hang in there, there are April/May filers getting NOA2's now, you're not far off.

It will eventually HAVE to happen. Our applications can't stay pending forever.

That's true, it does eventually have to happen, but this is when i feel that USCIS should have a better system to keep everybody informed as to where they are...not just an automatic monthly computer changing the processing times !!

I think what you are proposing would only serve to slow the system down even more! It stinks all this waiting "in the dark", but directing energy to posting updates like you have suggested in this thread and other threads doesn't seem to me to be a wise expenditure of USCIS's time. They do publish items from time to time on the USCIS website indicating that they have backlogs (which they have a major one right now)...so as much as it pains us all to wait, that's really all we can do.

What really needs to happen is that they need to update their antiquated systems and hire some more bodies to process petitions. By the time that happens, your fiancee and mine will both have at least adjusted status!

Since you're a May filer, your nearly to NOA2. I know easier said than done, but sit tight...your day will come.

Oh i am aware that my process will probably be over, Im saying this for the sake of the many who i know will be going through the same process we are going through..and on an other note, they did raise the prices by a lot, i would think that hiring a little more staff is not a ridiculous thing to ask?

What you need to keep in mind is that when they raised the fees the guarantee was not to speed processing times or increase staff, but to keep within current processing times for the moment and set a goal to improve processing times by 20% by year end 2009.

Oh well so the wait continues...I have been down to see her 4 times sice FEB ... think its time to start planning my next trip for Sept. ...who knows maybe by then i will be planning to be at the interview with her...

just on the issue of hiring staff -

when I was reading through the thread by HuskerKiev, who used to work at NSC, he said something about them having old cramped buildings when he started there, and later moving to a larger and better facility... it may well be that all the service centres are pretty much at capacity right now; even if they have extra funds (and haven't ear-marked them for other things), they may just not be able to physically fit more bodies in the rooms...
