Ok Im concerned.....If we take the June and July approvals sooo far...the average is ONE approval for every 3.5 days. At THIS rate...based on my being number 58 on the list...it would take them 203 days to get to MY petition. WHAT is going on??? I know they slowed down...but 1 every 3.5 days isn't acceptable.....ANYONE have ANY clues WHEN they may start to actually work on K1's again????? This is depressing me. How is anyone else coping with this???

Whoa!!!

I wonder what is up with VSC. Thys do seem to be a little slow lately. I wonder why. Like I have said before in a previous post, there has to be a more efficient way of doing this. Someone needs to go and do some investigating at the processing centers.

Damn beauraucracy.

So Im not the only one noticing this...but when I look at how FEW have been approved in June AND July and how many we have waiting....I wonder...when will they start processing? I understand they took a hard hit on h1 visas...but isnt' it first come first serve? Shouldn't they have to wait in line with the rest of us? Since when is the family unit less important than a company gaining an employee that they PROBABLY could have filled from HERE with one of our SO's that was already approved and is LOOKING for work. I started this sooo optomistic but now am seeing how the government beaurocracy is playing into it and it seems FAMILIES are LAST on the list. But what CAN we do. We can complain...or we can take ACTION...but how....not even Senators can get informtion...and tell me..what IS wrong with USCIS stating or documenting EXACTLY where in the process our petitons are.....if I call and they are doing MY background check...TELL me thats where it is...not just wait the aloted time and check back. If its SITTING on a desk WAITING to be viewed...TELL me this..THATS easier to handle than NO info at all. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Im going bald

Congratulations to Czechmate!

And didn't bszoom42 originally say that VSC was still tied up with those damn H1B or whatevers through July 27? They HAVE to get moving soon for the rest of you guys!

Anyone called VSC recently to ask about their cases?

Divorced. To hell with him.

H1B are the work visas.

Yeah, apparently it is more important to process those than the other visas.

yea i did a little research on wikipedia and it was very enlightening...although i dont get why those petitions are expedited...the companies pay the uscis to do them faster?? or what??

i also looked at the processing times for vermont and the h visas are wayyyyyy ahead of the pack...i think the latest date i saw on there was from april...a little ridiculous considering the date on there for K1 is january! sheesh the date for bringing a brother or sister was from 2005!!!!!! were kinda lucky in that sense :clock:

Congratulations to those who received an NOA2! I'll post an updated list later tonight.

Regarding the H1B receipting delay, VSC expects to be in compliance by July 28. (Yes, It was July 23, but on July 20, they annouced it is now July 28.)

http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/Re...imes20Jul07.pdf

Hopefully after they catch up, we will see NOA2s flow much quicker!

Hmmm. So hopefully that means we should be looking for approvals to start flowing in next week.

Lets keep our fingers crossed :)

i know that we want to blame it on the work visas, but i dont know...looking at the chart from last year, it seems that this pattern is normal for this time of year...we might just have to wait it out...although it doesnt seem that last year, the average never exceeded 80 days...the average time as of today is 75 days, so maybe we ARE at the worst of it right now...we can only hope :sleepy:

AHHHHH, this is a good point...the work visas are due at the same time every year, and with the higher flux of applicants at this time, you MAY have a point. It just gets soo frustrating with the wait when you KNOW others sped through it...I for one am just having a distance anxiety attack!!!

You are listed as "Pj & Pg" at #66 on the K-1 Pending List. "Pj & Pg" are the names specified on your VisaJourney.com timeline. If you change your names on the timeline, the next time I post the list, it will be reflected.

Best of luck!
