Just posted a copy of the letter to the CSC, hopefully they will join us.

In addition to cc-ing the editorial page of the NY times, I thought I would send a "would have been married but the USCIS is keeping us in limbo" wedding announcement to the Times "society page" - any one have thoughts on how bombarding them with such announcements might get us some attention in the media?

Hi bszoom42!

How can i get on that list?

You are on the list, but you are #3 on the list of pending petitions.

Your signature says that you were approved though.

I guess you need to update your timeline.

Yeah, i received an email saying that my approved petition has been fowarded to the NVC but they've send me an RFE. I called many times to find out why i got an approval email and now an RFE but no one could answer the question. Should i take that out of my signature?

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

Thanks for the support, keep it coming and remember to post your action at the other thread to keep it alive AND let everyone know there is strength in numbers.

There are some naysayers and 'trolls' weighing in on the issue, but remember, they are just keeping the thread alive, so let them have their say-->but educate them as well. Most of them had their petitions approved VERY quickly!!!! I need you to cover my back over there

About news media-->do whatever and contact whoever you can. If you find a way to get to someone or have some e-mail at NYTimes, maybe the editor-->PLEASE LET EVERYONE KNOW. When I speak to the reporter at Washington Post, I'll let you know what she says.

Also, we need all the help we can get from those filing at CSC, they weren't here for the meat of the discussion, so let them know and ask for their support.

Even though few of you are seeing light at the end of the tunnel, don't abandon the rest of us. We NEED YOU!!!

LOVE THE DEDICATION....DON'T give up on this......persistence is KEY!!!

A new approval.

Mohammed & Tigris. #84 on K-1 pending list. Filed 7/17. NOA1 7/23. NOA2 9/18.

The beneficiary is from Iraq and will interview in Syria.

Here is the member's only post. It is from 9/4.

"I'm an American woman (not in the military) marrying an Iraqi man! I live here in Baghdad and I work for a humanitarian project. I've also met three Iraqi girls that married American men and another Iraqi guy that married an American woman (all in the military). The main problem for Iraqi muslim women is that they should marry a muslim man, but that doesn't stop everyone! The other problem is that any Iraqi planning to marry an American could be kidnapped, killed, or tortured if anyone finds out about their plans. I wish there was a way for people in our situation to expedite our visas. Do you think there's any chance? I plan to start contacting some congressmen soon to find out..."

Good luck to them! :)
