If Your Case Is Outside Our Current Processing Time

The processing times that we publish let you estimate how long it will take us to process cases filed before yours, and then process your case. However, every case is different and sometimes an individual case can take longer than average.

If you don't hear from us within the normal processing time, check for updated processing times on our website. If your case has a receipt number, use it to check on the status of your case at the same time. We recommend this action on your part because our notice may be on its way to you.

If at any point your case should become more than 30 days outside our normal processing time, and you haven't received a written decision or update from us within the last 60 days, you can help us by calling customer service and letting us know. We will research your case, see what needs to be done to get it processed, and get back to you with an explanation.

The extra 30 days is to allow time for any notice from us to reach you as we process your case.

If you filed a Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and it has been longer than 90 days since you filed and you haven't gotten an update from us within the last 60 days, and have not seen any public notice that addresses your case type, please don't wait the extra 30 days. Call customer service immediately.

That is from the USCIS website, on my NOA1 it said they will process it within 60 to 180 days, so I am assuming after 180 it is outside the processing time. But I don't want to wait another 30 days after the processing date is done....wat the he*k

"this is sad that we are even talking about this."

I am sorry, and do not get me wrong but I am scared as hell and I cannot stop thinkin about that maybe we must wait through the whole 180 days or so.I was so naive I thought that we all will be approved for now,

Sorry for my negative thoughts I am just wondering how much longer and if I reach the 180 mark what can I do.

If you notice their processing time on USCIS for CSC is Dec 31 2006, add that to 6 months + the 30 days they were telling us to wait and the will be July 31, 2007. So if they follow the same pattern either way after 180 days and the 30 days they asked us to wait, we will be outside the processing time posted on their website too.

Zolanden, I was so naive too. I thought that withing 180 days are processed cases which are not very clear or cases with missing documents or proofs of relationship. I thought that our cases will be approved maximum for 90-100 days. It is funny but I was hoping to be in USA in June or July. Now I stop making plans. Everything is depending on USCIS.

Wish 1510, when we call to USCIS they said that they process cases received in December. So I think that we have to wait till they put on their cite that in process are cases received after February 15.

If I hit the 180 day mark the first person I'll get a hold of is my fellow Las Vegas Track Club member, Harry Reid. Patience is a virtue but I'll be pulling out all the stops with the possibility of taking a trip to Laguna Niguel with My 83 year old mother who quit school and worked her butt off during WW2, and wants to meet her daughter in law before she dies, and have a few protest signs made up just like Captain Ewak did !!!!

lets do that now...why wait 180 days. Immigration department is the most unstable department. There is no one above them it seems like. Do you think it would help if we wrote CSC personal letters. Throughout July i was busy finishing school related community hours but now i am on vacation(some vacation :crying: ) so i am getting restless again. The congressman was not helpful at all so i think about contacting the senators.

They said after July 30, along with enforcing the new increased fees, they are going to follow some faster process. So I am thinking may be they spent the last couple of months updating their systems and starting next week, we are going to be seeing tons of approvals everyday. Come next friday, Kalina, Neel, everybody before me, myself, and people 10 days after me are all gonna be approved.:dance:
