yeah it's been really rough

I just want to know if the NVC is skipping over people. If that's the case then I can raise hell. If not then I just have to continue waiting and hopefully we'll have an interview date soon. I remember how happy I was in January when we found out the NVC sent the case the Jamaica. Now, it's just upsetting. Every time I call the next two months are already full and a lot of people waiting etc. etc. Nobody can give me a straight answser

If your case was completed in Jan I don't think NVC will be able to assist you. They didn't change the rules until June so you will need to contact the Embassy. Since you have been trying to call and email and recv'd no reponse, I recommend going on their website and sign up for an appt. That way your spouse will be able to speak to someone directly. I just don't understand why they're taking this long, I never heard of that before. Did they say you were in AR review? I can't think of any other reason for the delay.

Congrats Tamieka on your case being completed!! Was the automatic system update today? Did it say the same spill that I got? I spoke with a rep yesterday afternoon and he stated appointments were still being scheduled for August. This would be completed on Monday and I could call back on Tuesday to see if I was in th the batch that got scheduled. My payers are for you to also get scheduled since your case was completed before the cut off time. Honestly how many applicants could actually be at this point for scheduling in Kingston.

It would be so nice if some one from VJ is in Kingston at the same time as my interview. David's job has him so busy so I have decide to only spend a couple of nights Jamaica if the interview is before August 27, 2007. I had planned on staying 7-10 days so we can visit his family that live closer to the Mobay area. My hubby office is in Kingston but he lives in Portmore area. I will probably stay at the Hilton. We stayed there for our honeymoon and my girlfriend and I stay there during my 1st visit to Kingston. It is not far from the Embassy and I entertain myself if David have to work really long hours.

Yes it did say the same thing. I hope to be in the August batch...it would be pretty cool to have another VJ'er in the batch. I hope there is good news next week. My husband works in downtown Kingston and lives in Portmore as well. Sorry to know that the job has David so busy. I am sure Aaron will be able to take some time as I had planned to go home during Independence week. But, I will put off my vacation until we get the interview date so that I can take a few days then. When he finally gets here I'll take vacation then to help him get settled in.

I am thinking of staying at Christar Villas at least the night before the interview, because if I am not mistaken, the Embassy is now near Liguanea, near to Campion (my alma mater).

I hope you get good news next week because you have been waiting so much longer. :star:

I wonder if we are the first set on VJ going through the new process. So far we haven't heard from anyone that has been scheduled by the NVC for Kingston interviews. Has anyone seen any post on the regional boards?

Nobody informed me if we were in AR review or not but I still don't think it should be taking this long. I have my senator and congressman inquiring and they said they would contact me this week with what ever information they attained. Also I just sent them an email saying I know NVC has begun assigning dates for interviews and have clearly skipped over couples that have been waiting since January (a lie as far as I know, but possible). I requested an appointment to discuss the matter. Wish me luck. Hopefully I'll get some good news this week.

Guys.. :help: Is there anyone pursuing a IR1/CR1 and the NVC has scheduled your interview in the last couple of weeks; :help: can you please tell me how long it took from when the case was completed at the NVC before you got your interview date. Did you have to wait to get the letter before you knew the date? Was the automatic voice system ever updated with this status?

Monday will be exactly two weeks since the NVC completed my case and I have not heard anything :crying: :crying

Jenice

Hi Janice,

My daughter's case was completed on 20th Dec. 2006 and NVC forwarded it to the embassy in Ghana on 5th July, 2007

with an interview date of 28th August 2007.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope your senator and congressman is able to get the ball rolling for you. It's so hard to be in limbo like this, especially when you know you are so close!! Hopefully, if you raise enough hell, someone will start digging around and put your file on high priority so that you can be interviewed ASAP.

Well my senator's secretary called yesterday and referred me to someone in another senator's office. She also said I should call her back tomorrow to update her. The gentleman she referred seems really eager to help. I just faxed him a letter and he said he wil jump on it asap (now).

The lady who I spoke with at my congressman's office said they would email the embassy last week. She told me they usually get a response within a week. I'm going to wait until Friday to call for an update if she doesn't call before then.

I'll def let you all know how things go.

All,

I have not got an interview date yet. I spoke with a rep at the NVC on Monday night and was told that interviews were still being scheduled for the month of August and I should check back on Friday. So we are still waiting
