hello everyone. :)

okay, basically I received my NOA relating to I-751 petition today, and the USCIS have got my name slightly wrong on the letter they mailed out. They've been kind enough to give me a mysterious middle name beginning with the letter G.

how should I deal with this? Is it possible it's merely a mistake on this letter only, or are they likely to have included this extra initial on everything? Will I have to have a new NOA sent out? Who should I contact?

I'm in LA, by the way.

any advice would be much appreciated. thanks.

hi ya

i would give them a call and get them to read what your name is on their system...might just have been a clerical error .. but if its in the system like you have on your NOA, your new card might end up having same mistake .. so best to get it sorted out now than down the track...

good luck

When we filed our I 485, the NOA had a one letter mistake on it. So I called the USCIS number, told them it was wrong. Stayed on the line while he asked some questions and typed the answers into the computer. He also gave us a reference number about the change. We went to biometrics and it was still wrong. She changed it in the computer while my husband watched her. Finally got the green card and guess what, it was still misspelled. We made an infopass appointment and the officer was baffled, cause his name was spelled right in the computer. So it doesnt matter what you do, it still can come out wrong. Just stay on them to change it. I thought everything was fixed and it wasnt. Good luck.
