They definitely did improve the wait time for the interview since he has been in power but that's about it as far as I can tell. Anyone know this dude's email address?

Well the good news is this time it only took one business day for them to answer my email.

The bad news is that her is the response to my very personal request:

"Dear Madam:

Thank you for your e-mail message.

The case is pending administrative processing. We will contact you once

that has been completed.

the same message my wife received this morning .. i also believe the other day one of the ladies on MENA forums have sent a message to the consul because her husband has received his visa with a name mistake and she also got the same message

nowonder why we all get THE SAME MESSAGE .. COZ .. IT IS THE SAME ROBOT

( 7 visas issued for each 10 applicants for NON Immigrant Visa ) if you look at the list here you will see it's 8:16 as they are Immigrants .

so methink there is no need for the email !!!

Well so far 8:16. Even though Cairo sucks big hairy rocks, to quote yassmine, I have yet to hear of anyone actually being denied, though I probably just jinxed myself.

Thanks ladies we are over the moon! I am still in a little shock today ,but all I can say is keep the faith and your day will come too! MY fiancé was told 1-2 months at his interview and so I guess Cairo is trying to keep its word. I wish you all luck I also kindly ask for prayers for my fiancé's father who is being tested for a possible cancer. So far, so good, but I know he's not out of the woods yet.

My fiance Jack had his interview in Cairo August 30th. The embassy said they would let him know with in a month if he would get the visa or not. He got a call from the embassy September 6, they want him to come back to the embassy September 11 at 9:00 a.m. and give his thumb print. Don't know if this is good or means nothing. If anyone knows, please advise.

I don't think it means anything good or bad they proablly just forgot to take it at the interview , where its common to get the index fingers.. Thats my guess its so hard to tell with cairo.

If he was denied....why would they need his prints? Time to gear up for AR/AP, I'd say.

methink this is just a regular AP .. the fingerprint is taken for the two index not the thumb .

I am glad to hear that......

Does anyone think they treat the Christians different than the Muslims when considering them for a visa?

nope. there's one couple on the list..i forget who, that's been waiting a good six months and they are both christian.
