HI everyone,

a friend of mine who is waiting for her visa was asking what is in the mysterious brown envelope? this curiousity arisis as i told her not to open once she gets it..

correct me if im wrong...but i read somewhere and i believe so ..that it contains all the documents submitted through out the visa process ..

does it also contain the questions at the interview and the answers given by the beneficiary..are they going to ask the same questions at the port of entry and if you will not be able to answer it the way you did at the interview..it would cause delays ..?

please entlighten me..

thanks...

As far as I know, the "mysterious brown envelope", just holds copies of your I-129F you submitted, your medical, and copies of papers you brought to the interview. This was told to me by the Consulate official that interviewed me. I don't remember any notes being taken even at my interview so I don't know what they would have written other than "approved" on anything. When I handed over the envelope to the Border agent, she just opened it, copied the A# down, and that's about it. There was no questions asked at all. There isn't another interview at the POE.

Good luck!

I know it includes all documentation you submitted during the process and your medical info.

Also not sure about interview questions, but I don't think so.

No matter how curious she might get, tell her not to open it, it might be hard but it would not be good at all.
