Hello everyone!!! My husband and i are so happy!!! Finally, we got our I130 approval yesterday! YAY!!!!

Although we wanted to push through with k3, we are opening our doors for possibilities that probably CR1 is a better route for us. Considering that we don't have to do Adjustment of status and it's cheaper compared to k3. We would appreciate for any tips and any advices from everyone.

I-129f was approved in 116 days.

Interview Date - OCTOBER 1, 2007

Received Visa - October 2, 2007

Arrived U.S - October 3, 2007

EAD

01-19-2008 - Sent EAD Application

01-30-2008 - NOA Received

02-12-2008 - Card production ordered

02-13-2008 - Second Notice for Card Production

02-15-2008 - EAD Approval Notice

My EAD was approved in 27 days

01/17/2007 Faxed the checklist to the Immigrant Visa Unit in Frankfurt

03/29/2007 Got letter from USCIS to provide evidence that our marriage is bona fide

04/02/2007 Sent to USCIS lots of evidence

05/03/2007 I have an unofficial "PETITION APPROVED" ...waiting for confirmation from Consulate

05/07/2007 Received email from USCIS ROME confirming that our petition was approved (why Rome? because we complained to the District Office Rome about the Sub-Office Frankfurt..it took too long for our petition to be approved)...now waiting for the interview letter from the Consulate

05/18/2007 E-mail from IV Frankfurt, our interview was scheduled for May 29th

05/19/2007 Packet 4 in the mail: ja ja ja interview letter

05/29/2007 Interview at 7.30 a.m. APPROVED Thank you, God!

06/01/2007 Visa arrived !

06/03/2007 Mayday on the plane POE Cincinnati

06/21/2007 Welcome Notice from USCIS

06/29/2007 Applied for SSN at the local Office

07/07/2007 Green Card arrived

07/09/2007 Another 2 Welcome Letters from USCIS...God, they really love me! :D

07/20/2007 Social Security Card arrived

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

it really depends if u want to get united to your hubby soon k-3 is better yet costly than cr-1 but for sure it is 2-3 months faster than ir-1

so u got to decide..

Yay! I'm so happy for you!

Stick with the CR-1/IR-1...it seems less painful in the long run, plus it's cheaper. If it had taken us a long time to get our I-130 approved, we might have filed the I-129f, but more likely I'd have gone to Finland to live for a while...

Thank you!!! i'm so blessed because i'm married to a wonderful man and i have you all as my friends. :thumbs: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

My husband and i had a long talk and we decided we will go for k3 so we can be together hopefully on my birthday(October) We are dying to be with each other. Hopefully, they will approve it soon.

For the mean time, we will go on with the CR1 process.
