Vermont Service Center NOA1 Delay

We mailed our K1 petition papers on May 14... They arrived May 16.... The check was cashed May 22.. BUT I still have not recieved NOA1 Is this normal? It has been several days now. After reading others timelines I realize on average 10 days. Perhaps, others are having this experience.

hey don't sweat it. pushbrk posted the other day- the vsc is about a month behind. hang out a minute. he & timsdaisy should be here soon. they've both been answering a lot of my questions. but, i don't think you should be too worried.

VSC is being real slow lately, look at my sig for example. I got my notice that they recieved my RFE on May 4th and still no NOA2 yet. Also look at VSC on the immigration timelines section, very few NOA2's and NOA1's out there for the last couple weeks.......so to answer your question, no clue what is happening there.

my check was cashed on the 18th of May, I still have not heard any word from them at all.

The print on the back of the check was not clear enough to even track my case on-line.

I have a crazy educated guess here......perhaps the service centers hire new workers this time of year, and these newbies are a bit slow since they are new to the proces?

Man, only one NOA2 approval for Vermont on the timelines for June so far.....I wonder what happened there? I'm hoping for today being my day.

Stevenw60, I would call the NVC to see if they have your case. It could be that you were approved, but the automated system is behind.

Actually I did the RFE trick, and got to VSC.......I was told an adjudicator is "working on my case right now"....so we shall see. I was told before it has been on their desk since 5/23, which was the same as Maxxxumusa, and he got his noa2 on monday. So i'm really hoping for something soon.

sure, you can call but be happy that you're going through Vermont and not one of the other SC... Vermont's the fastest..

Still nothing. This was the online notice I am reading:

On May 18, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service.

Is it imperative to physically have this notice? And what instructions are they asking me to follow? From May 18 to June 11th... that is very slow mail service. I think it is lost unless someone else has had such a slow experience. If i send a card to Germany it takes 2 days...

Who knows what is going on there. There has only been one NOA2 approval from users in the forum for all of March as well, usually they are cranking everything out at VSC. I have to believe they are preoccupied processing some other kind of visas?

I guess its just luck of the draw. I sent my petition the same day you did and I got my NOA1 5/23 (check my sig for my timeline)....I wonder what is going on there.

Yes, I did notice we both have very similar timelines. So strange.
