I know that this has probably been asked a thousand times but I have to ask. I sent in out packet for a fiancee visa on May 9th. and it was signed for on the 10th. To this date my check has not been cashed and I have not heard anything. I see from all other posts that the time frame for this is usally 10-15 days. Is there a phone number to call and talk to sumbody in the Nebraska Servive Center? Thanks!!!

Nope. Your petition will end up in California or Vermont anyway. It's taking up to a month or so to see NOA1's now but it shouldn't be more than a few more days until your check is cashed.

Nope. Your petition will end up in California or Vermont anyway. It's taking up to a month or so to see NOA1's now but it shouldn't be more than a few more days until your check is cashed.

I had sent mine the same date as yours, Brian; it was signed for on 14 May. I am still waiting to this date for something to happen as well. I checked my bank online everyday; no wait...every minutes just to see if my check had cleared so I can check the number on the back of the check. Actually, it will make me sleep better just to see my check had cleared coz it means that someone is doing something to my package. I guess I will wait just like everyone else. I had waited this long just to find my other half.

I know it's difficult, but just hang in here. I sent my petition to the NSC on May 7th and it was received on May 9th. My check was just cashed and my NOA1 notice was May 30th.

I had similar timeline like samir, sent on April 30, received on May 2, and NOA1 notice on May 23 so it took approx. 3 weeks to get NOA1 approved which is equal to 15 business days.

I have great news so far...just checked my bank this morning and there it is...my cashed check!!! I have never been so happy to have money taken away from my bank either as someone in this forum pointed out. I put those numbers on the back of the check to use right away to check status of my case. It said...look for the NOA1 in the mail and it was mailed to me on 1 June 07. I will gladly wait for it to come since I know it is being taken care of. The new beginning!!!
