I was planning on attending my fiance's interview in Bogota Colombia and return with her to Miami. Today I just wanted to confirm my paper tickets I got from Cheaptickets.com with Avianca and found that only the first leg of the trip was booked and I had no return flight/ticket. I told them this was a mistake because since I am not a Colombian citzen I would not be allowed to book a one-way ticket and I had the tickets in my hand. No one will amit guilt. So as of now I have no ticket. Avianca has 500.00 of my money, my fiance is in tears, and I have no idea what to do. Pus to add injury to insult all my paperwork for the prrof of support is with me and I don't know if I can get it to her in time. What a mess.... plus my blood pressure is off the charts when I went to check it a few hours ago. Hope your day goes better. :crying:

Sorry to hear that you had a bad day with lots of anxiety. Sure hope it improves and you get the tickets taken care of so you can deliver the suppport paperwork to your finace and enjoy a visit with her. Take a deep breath and try and focus on one problem and fix it and then move on to the next.

About all you can do at this point is to buy a ticket with American Airlines and hope for the best in getting a refund from the other. If you paid by credit card it will be no problem. Wish it were a week from now and I'd take it for you--I leave Sunday April 2 for my fiance's interview on the 6th. My prayers are with you! Ron Wade from Texas

first, you need to overnight her all relevant documentation that she will need for her interview. do that first thing monday morning - pay whatever you have to.

next, call whoever you have to to get to the bottom of your plane ticket fiasco. don't be a wallflower.

sorry that this has happened, but try not to get too upset by it. make sure your fiancee has what she needs for her interview and she will be with you soon if you can't make it down there. no sense jeopardizing your health and having a stroke before she gets here.

best of luck!

Sorry you are having to go through this. But as Gimygirl mentioned, express mail the supporting documents to her ASAP. You should be able to find a service that will deliver the documents within 3 days. RELAX .... more so than ever you need to be of strong mind and good health.

I will keep you in my positive thoughts.

ALL things work TOGETHER for GOOD!

I agree. And if you DID pay with a credit card try to see if they might handle it (in getting your money back), make it sound like the situation is a scam, which I do believe it is. The CC companies will usually always side with customers because they want to keep them
