Just wanted to share what is going on with our application so far. We filed my wife's on May 18th , 2007. Check was cashed on May 24th, 2007. It is pretty quick , we belive. We did not think they would cash the check this soon.

We will let everyone know about our NOA date as soon as we get it.

Thanks

wow, yes that sounds pretty fast.

I am wondering how long it will be until you get your biometrics appointment since it's our turn to file soon. Shortly after we file we will be out of the country for a few weeks - hoping they take at least that long to send the appointment because I don't want to end up missing it...

thea,

I looked at tour time line. We got married in October 2004, and sent our papers in December, 04. Although you sent your papers way earlier than ours, my wife got her greencard in July, 2005. The thing I want to say is how come she got her conditional card earlier than yours? It is interesting.

We are planning to travel , too, but my wife says she will not leave here until she gets her 10 year greencard. She is scared of having a stamp .... I do not know why....

I will let you guys know about our NOA , and etc. Because while we were checking some other timelines we saw that most checks were cashed almost in 30 days.

:innocent: yeah, well... they really liked my paperwork at USCIS back then... so much that they just wouldn't let go of it  hoping that this time around it will be a smoother experience!

I'm kinda worried about the travel thing and not having a valid card - that whole stamp thing... sometimes I don't believe that all the airline staff and immigration officers really know how to handle it. I'll have to start travelling for business a lot again starting in September (perfect timing!) and most of the trips will be outside the US.

Just out of curiousity, did any of you guys have an attorney filled the I-751 for you all, or did you guys prepared the whole package yourself? I heard that if they see an attorney that prepared it for you (a simple signature on the bottom of that one page) they will process it faster. Is that true? Or a simple urban legend?
