Under AP at NVC?

It is so weired that our case has not been forward to Islamabad from NVC and it has been one month now. I called and speak with Agent and even Supervisor and they have no idea why our case is under "Administrative Processing" and they would not tell how long it will take.

I was afraid for long waiting AP time at Islamabad but they have started at NVC for us. I never heard case being taking this much time at NVC.

what should I do other than just sitting and calling every week? It is simply rediculous.......... :crying:

I am not sure that it will help to tell you that you are not the only one. There are quite a few of us in the same boat.

There is not much you can do but wait. I have been calling every two weeks but am about to give up on that. Your congressman can 't help and a lawyer can't do anything.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.
Waiting - Waiting - Waiting
3/6 Called NVC file sent to Washington for "Administrative Review" Told to call back every few weeks. 7/6 Called NVC, A/R is finished, case on way to Moscow. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/13 On Friday the 13th we see updated Moscow website with our interview on 9/11 (Hope we are not supersticious) 9/11 Visa Approved. Yahoo.
10/12 Tickets for her to America. I am flying to JFK to meet her there. 12/15/07 We are married. One year and a day after filling original K-1
12/27 Filed for AOS, EAD & AP 1/3 Received all three NOA-1's 1/22 Biometrics 2/27 EAD & AP received 4/12 Interview
5/19/08 RFE for physical that she should not have needed. 5/28 New physical ($ 250.00 wasted) 6/23 Green Card received
4/22/10 Filed for Removal of Contitions. 6/25 10 Year Green Card received Nov, 2014 Citizenship ceremony. Our journey is complete.

It seems to be happening to a lot of us at NVC right now and the delay there seems like it is far longer than when it happens at the embassy.

If you get clear from NVC please notify so that I can have some idea NVC is procededing with our case.

I donot know if Congress Man can do to speed up this process?

I have talked to my congressman and many others have too and they all say the same. Their hands are tied. They can get no information and do nothing for us.

Yasi is another member who is stuck at NVC for AR/AP. I believe we have 2 members who have gotten stuck even at the service center level (cander42 and the dip sticks).

There are quite a few more. I would have to dig through my files to tell you the names but there are at least a half dozen of us. There are 138,000 people in A/P at some stage of things so there are probably lots more.

We are stuck and I have no idea why.We got a packet from tokyo with a case number, sent the ds-230 and applied for an interview and got no response, so i have called tokyo 4 times(cost 15 dollars each time)and every time they promised to call us back and only the last time they called me back saying...the case was going through ap...but i couldnt not get a clear reason why....it doesnt make sense..

we were approved, got a case number, got a packet from tokyo and then we are told we are under ap....it flat out sucks because we thought we have her visa by now or in the next 2 weeks.

Tokyo is has not been helpful as far as customer service!!!

I hope it goes quickly for you. I have passed the 4 month mark myself. I think they really have a problem with how they handle A/P and need to make some improvements.
