How are the K-1 processed at the Service Center

I have a real doubt that the visas are really processed in the order that they are received. Based upon notification times of the first NOA and people that have gotten to the second NOA for substantial differences in time at the same service center. Does anybody know what really happens with your I-129. If you look at the posted times from the service center ...they say they are just now processing applicants from November, but we know that that really isnt the case because many people are receiving the second NOAs now that just sent their applications in for late February. Anybody know what really happens at the service centers and how they are processed?

Unfortunatle,y we don't know. We probably never will.

But for fduture reference, petitions are processed at service centers, not visas. :)

The posted dates on the USCIS sites are reflective of the cases that have taken much longer at the service centers; usually those cases have been RFE'd, need further adjudication, are under appeal, etc. In most cases, petitions take much faster than those dates posted.

Take some time to read this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry738154 The poster used to work at USCIS and gives some wonderful insights into how the process works. Only God and the USCIS knows why some petitions are processed significantly earlier (or later) than others, but for the most part it is first in first out. Good luck!

hi, my name is thomas live in florida

I was wondering if you can answer some questions for me

I file my I-129f with texas and then sent to Calif jan 31 07 and touched on feb 2 07 and nothing since. I see people who have filed in march from fla and there fiancee is from the philippines too and they are aproved and I'm still waiting. Why? and is it because i filed a I 129f in june of 04 and was approved. I gf at that time went to here interview passed that and then failed her medical. We broke up and 8 months later i met my new gf cyril june 28 05 and been together since. If you have any guess why its taken long please let us know thank you 4 your time
