Hello everybody !!

I got a I-129F number today by phone and i still confuse, the officer said that the case has been transfered to Missouri and he gave us a MSC xxxx number also we could see the number printed on the back of our cheque from Bank web site

Please can you all help me to understand why Missouri , I havent seen any cases transfered to Missouri here.

How can I track this MSC number and Where, I went trough USCIS web page many times and I am so sorry I did not find anything.

Just to remind you all we first sent it to Nebraska by a mistake.

Once more thank you !!!

You track your I-129F with the MSC number at the same place as you track your I-130 with the WAC number.

Log into this link:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp;...TnCmDrbhSD3mEor

Then click on the blue here: (To add a case to your portfolio click here.) and add your MSC number.

I hope this helps.

You got a Missouri # (MSC #) as you should. All 129Fs for K3 are supposed to be mailed to Chicago and get assigned an MSC #. Then they are forwarded to either the CSC or VSC. See table posted above.

info on the Missouri Service Center ("MSC") operations...

1. General Comments. The MSC does not have a direct phone number. This facility, unlike the other Service Centers, does not have any telephone number for the general public to call to check on the status of their cases. Instead, the receipt notices issued by the MSC have the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) phone number indicated (1-800-375-5283). If an individual calls the NCSC and there is a problem, the NCSC will notify the MSC. The MSC is developing a processing brochure for the general public.

Currently, the MSC is accepting the cases under the Life Act including Legalization & Family Unity applications, V visas & K visas. At this time they are not processing any other applications.

2. General Process/Structure. All filings for the MSC are made to the following PO Box addresses: PO Box 7216, Chicago, IL 60680-7216 ('V' visas); PO Box 7218, Chicago, IL 60680-7218 ("K" visas); PO Box 7219, Chicago, IL 60680-7219 ('Legalization or Family Unity'). The address for submitting via a courier service is 1907-1909 S. Blue Island Ave., Chicago, IL 60608. The packages are received by the lock box contractor personnel and opened and all documents are scanned and placed back into their envelope. The documents are then transmitted as an envelope to the MSC. Because the lock box personnel move the paperwork as an envelope, it is important that if multiple cases are submitted in the same courier/express mail envelope that they be placed in individual envelopes inside the courier envelope so that individual cases are transmitted separately to the MSC.

I see by the chart that nobody's got an I-129F NOA2 approval yet, not even April filers - Wonder who's gonna get one first?

I got all excited when I checked the mail today and found a letter from Vermont but it was only the snail-mail paper version of the I-130 approval which I'd already been notified of by email.

Oh well, it's still nice to get any paper thingys in the mail from them so there's something to look at besides just obsessively checking my case status online twice a day!

There was a difference with my NOA1 MSC number and the one of the back of the cheque. Maybe there's a mistake on your NOA1 ? Have you tried calling to see that your MSC file number is right ?

The two numbers are definitely different but neither the one on the check or on my NOA1 works. How do I get a live rep at USCIS without a working receipt number?

Hi !!!

Thank you edp333 and G&A !

Unfortunately the MSC doesnt work but i see that i am not the only one having the same problem ... any clue ?

If you are getting an error of no case found the two most common problems are: 1. If you got the MSC number from the back of your cancelled check the last digit could be off by one number. Example MSCxxxxxxxxx3 could be MSCxxxxxxxxx4.

2. They have not entered the case into the computer system yet. More backlog problems.

Mine said the exact same thing then I realized the scan showed a 6 whereas the actual number is an 8. sometimes those scans come out funny.

Mine didn't register on the online service for a week. I tried both the number from the back of the check and the number from the NOA. Neither worked. I called them and pretended not to know my number (because I really didn't since it wasn't acknowledged by their system) they put me through to a cust. serv. rep. then she forwarded me to an officer. He checked my case and assured me it was valid, the number on the NOA is correct, and it will just take time for it to be entered in their system. As of yesterday it was.

Hey guys, just got off the phone with USCIS because the number on the back of my cashed check was totally off from the one on my NOA1. I tried again today to use the automated system and both numbers came back invalid. I was transferred to a rep who tried the inputing both numbers and then escalated me to an immigration officer. The immigration officer told me that the receipt number on the NOA was the valid one. I then asked her why on my I-130 that the numbers matched on both check and NOA, and info online was available immediately. Yet on my I-129f the numbers on the check and on the NOA were completely off and invalid on both their systems. She told me that the (MSC) number on the back of the check is processed differently and that there are several reasons why it might be different. (She is the immigration officer, but that response sounded strangely like BS) When I asked her to cite some examples of said reasons she got all flustered and could not provide me a single one  I then asked that if the NOA is indeed, the valid receipt number, what time frame could I expect to see info online. She said, "Well sir, that could take up to 30 days" 30 days just to put into the system?? I know Divine Mercy went through this and said hers was available in a week. I'm hoping and checking. :D I'm still befuddled as to why they would provide you a number that's not even active in the system yet though ;). The journey continues...
