LOL! I can't blame them either. I must confess I've neglected this site a bit since my wife will be here in less than 48 hrs. There are no words for my excitement! :D :D :D I told gogo just as G&A had that we are going to remain until the rest of our group make it. Jaz and I will try and get on when we can. I also just moved and the place I moved to has no internet access at this time I will reply when I can from work though....

Oh, I am so happy for u! I'm getting closer to being with my husband. We have been married a year on March 10 and we still aren't together. But at least we are getting to the light at the end of the tunnel! I think his interview will probably be in May. The latest scheduled interview for Lagos on VJ was April 22. Lagos is starting to come through now. I think every VJ'r that has gone through Lagos so far has been approved. I know my friend, Kingsley's Princess's husband just had his interview on March 10 and all they did was look at their myriads of pics. They didn't look at chats, phone records, or emails. The guy seemed to love their pics and only asked him 2 questions...where did they meet and describe their relationship. The CO was quite satisfied with just that. The CO also was impressed at how well their evidence was organized which her husband did the organizing. I think if you go in their with a confident, friendly attitude, you pretty much have it made.

I think me and gogo are the two caboose's holding up this show, lol! We're going to make it though! Hope your wife has a safe trip home.

I am glad you are enjoying the USA. Eh, the wait for AOS isn't so bad. At least you are together with G, that's the important thing. The rest is minimal. I have good news. My K3 petition left NVC on 03/14/08 and is on its way to Lagos. YAY!!!!!

Finally, I get to share in the excitement of this phase, lol. Keep me posted on your AOS. Do you like the shopping in LA better or in Canada?

Hello, Guys! Sorry if I disappeared for a while, but I was trying to think on anything else other than this process. And I have some sad news...

Today I called the CSC (my routine monthly call) just to learn my process is in a Security Check. I feel upsed and sad and depressed...

So... any advice? Besides sending the regular letters to President, Vicepresident, Senator, Congressman... any other ideas? At this point, anything you could tell me would help.

haha, don't feel so bad.. there is still plenty of stuff we can do.. They threw me for another loop last week.. Let's continue where I left off.. I had a local office interview on February 21, and the head guy said i would be approved and receive notice within 10 days (my parents were there too).. so 2 1/2 weeks after I call them asking where it was.. and visited both local office and called in 1-800.. they said my case was not approved yet, and on 2/22 it got transferred to CSC.. they sent out letter on 2/27 (transfer notice, which I never received).. so last week I called in requesting for "expedite request".. 3/13.. they said they will email back on that request in 5 days.. on 3/18, receive email regarding request and that they will look at it.. called Tuesday (this week) to follow up and they said please wait another 30 days.. got elevated to 2nd level 'officer' on the phone, and she told me that "every few days we have been receiving your fax, from the senators, president..." "it doesn't matter how many you send, we are ACTIVELY (yeah, right) processing your case , so please wait another 30 days).. I had called the director's office, and the secretary said that the director can't approve your case.. so she transferred me to the USCIS office in Washington DC (202 area code).. the lady took down my info and said she will get back to me today or tomorrow... (this was Tuesday of this week).. she checked for me and said my case was still under "additional review".. what the @#%@#(*????

nothing yet for me :crying: don't know how long to wait.. probably will go back to China at the end of the year permanently.. no other choice.. I don't want to separate just because USCIS is taking their sweet time.. also, still haven't received any transfer notice.. this is stupid..

on what to do.. I don't know any other stuff.. probably the only other good cards I can play is to either get a lawyer (not sure if it will help with this).. so the only other alternative is suing the USCIS.. I hear people get good results from that.. :angry:

Anyone in Southern California that knows a good immigration lawyer??.. I really have no choice now.. after this, all I have left to do is the Writ of Mandumus..

Hey, Gogo... about contacting a Lawyer... hmmm... sorry to disappoint you. I started this whole process with a Lawyer. So far, he's only been good for taking my money away. I'll have a conference call with him on Tuesday (which I am sure will cost me a lot). I'll let you know if he says anything interesting.

About the Writ of Mandamus, I still think this is a great forum with information on how to do it. It is related to citizenship, but I am sure many things apply for I-130s

Hey, Gogo, we might be able to file for a Writ of Mandamus without the need of a lawyer. I've been reading about some successful cases... although all of them for resident or citizenship applications. In one lawyers page, they claimed they had experience filing Writ of Mandamus for I-130s.

I still think you are closer than anyone of us! You had a field office interview! How did you obtain that interview? Was it luck, or was it related to any of the letters you sent?

well, sending about 30 letters or more every week and at least a phone call every week would do it.. I just sent another batch last Friday too.. Also, expanded my letter to include all the latest stuff too.. so now it is 3 pages + printed out both case statuses currently online (saying , as of 3/15/2008, the latest status is November 27 transfer), the letter from FBI stating no name check, and an example letter I received from Senator McCain regarding my case.. also telling them if they don't approve, I will send the letter to all senators, congressmen, whoever.. since it is already this slow, I don't have much to lose..
