" they are working on files from November 14".. hehe.. I wish that was so... maybe you need to edit that  I would have been approved many times over if it was November 14...

JUST WANTED TO SHARE.... I JUST CALLED USCIS AND OUR CASE IS "IN TRANSIT" TO AN OFFICER. I GOT MY A# ALSO AND WAS TOLD THAT WHEN I NEED TO INQUIRE ABOUT CASE TO GIVE THIS NUMBER. THE LAST TIME I CALLED THE INFO I GOT WAS IT WAS NOT ASSIGNED.. SO I GUESS NOW ITS ACTUALLY MOVING ....

I LIKE THE WORDS "IN TRANSIT"... BUT I LOVE THE WORD "APPROVED" !!!

They told me today that they are working on files from November 14 and to pretty much expect an exact 6 month wait from the day they received it, not the receipt date.My priority date is June 25th so my priority date is December 25th and I should expect things to be adjudcated pretty close to what they are saying on the visa journey timeline and the websites and NOT TO EXPECT THINGS ANY EARLIER because of the holiday. There will be big delays due to caseloads and the holidays and backlogs and to not expect things any faster than 6 months. The lady at USCIS really was nice and she looked pretty thoroughly at my stuff and she told me just to expect the wait.

She also told me how things go to NVC. She said everything goes into a crate and sits there until the crate is full and then it goes to NVC.

Yep, we have heard about the shipping from CSC to NVC before as being a trailer or truck has to get filled before it goes. Crate, trailer, same thing really. They wait until they have a bunch of approved petitions to fill some container before shipping it out. That seems to make sense. Of the people who got to NVC on Nov 8, the NOA2 dates range from Oct. 19 to November. So the ones who got to NVC in a week were the last ones to fill the container vs. the ones who waited 3 weeks being the first in said container.

She also told me how things go to NVC. She said everything goes into a crate and sits there until the crate is full and then it goes to NVC.

Just wanted to add...

I am always reminded that when I pray, I pray in faith... (faith..the substance of things hoped for ..the evidence of things not yet seen)..trusting God the best I can. When I lose sight, which is so easy to do at times He gently reminds me to trust Him in All things. I pray for Gods peace to rule our hearts and minds in these matters and always.

Visa Journey Forum has been a great help for me..and every now and then a depressant. I'm not living in a plastic bubble where I don't want to hear the realities of delays and dissappointments that do come to some.... most of it is informative and heartfelt. My prayers go out to all these people for I know I am not exempt where it could never happen to us.. it could if God allows it (due to His reasons or human stupidity/ignorance). I am so thankful for every encouragement and words of wisdom shared on this forum. Not just to whats been told to me... but to all. I totally agree in building up and strengthening one another in this journey. We all need it.. especially in this day and age of time.

God bless all of you!

Gwen and Ahmad

I did the RFE trick today too and found out I'm still on a shelf collecting dust. Hearing about your case gave me some hope. It is important to keep inspiring one another and sharing good as well as bad news. Good news gives hope, bad news gives a heads up.

Hello, Guys! Browsing on USCIS pages, look what I found:

"Advisory on Processing Times

In the past few months, USCIS has received a significant increase in the number of applications filed. As a result, processing times will likely become longer for applications filed after June 1, 2007.

USCIS is working hard to address the increased volume and will continue to provide additional information on application processing times as it becomes available. For more information, please see our Frequently Asked Questions on receipt delays".

If you want to read it from the source, here is the link:

This may explain a few things. I guess there isn't much to do but pray, have faith... be optymistic... and log into this forum. It's great therapy! Thanks everyone for sharing your stories!

Hi G&A,

Thanks for updating the chart... Good job!!! Although there's not much to update for me or my fellow friends who are waiting (My Honey, neredette, JohnWendy).. :crying::crying:

I am giving the USCIS until 1/1/2008 before I go and sue them.. hopefully something will get done.. I faxed some more congressmen (of California) and also the two senators, and also Governor Terminator good.gif .. maybe they will help me?? I even told them it was past 210 days already for me.. this is taking WAY TOO LONG just to get approved (even past the 1st step).. just take a look at my current estimate in my forum signature and you can see... crying.gif crying.gif I didn't want to do it, but they leave me no choice.. I am giving them another 2 months to get their act together...

total of 11 people I faxed so far : 9 congressmen / 2 senators / 1 governor

Congratulations Ahmad, its high time that CSC approved K-3 folks. Am happy for those who filed K-1, but the discrepancy in the attention that is given is very very disheartening.

Congratulation Ahmed for your approval, really happy to see another approved case, this gives hope to the rest of us

..Does anyone know if USCIS open on Sat. I will try to call tomorrow, this is taking very long, my wife start to give up, and this process is just getting worse and worse, no system no order, and no freaking update, what are they doing in CSC?! , I think if the USCIS delegate this to a private company, we would have seen a way better job with incredible speed
