I do not like to be the bearer of bad news............but I just recived a reply from my congress persons rep. The reply was from the NVC about Montreal. The body of the conversation was about the "backlog" of interviews in Montreal. The person responding gave indication that our interview would not be until NOVEMBER!!!! Then it said "at the earliest" They are working at about a 6 month delay from approval date...........I hope it is not true but am pretty depressed right now............

Sounds about right... I've been waiting for about 5 months now and still no interview date. Hopefully next month :)

Same. It's pretty heart-breaking when you were only expecting two months or so:(

Hi,

please put our case in there too...

our was completed on may 09. :blink: . and still waiting

CR-1 -

initial date 09.2006 Vermont

File completed with NVC 05.09.2007

Waiting for interview... in Montreal

07.10.2007 Called NVC - no word...

we are thinking to transfer the file to Romania

I have double citizenship...asked NVC they said we need to request that

07.11.2007 Called the embassy in Ro- we need to

get a special waver to have transferred since residence in Toronto Canada

07.11.2007 Sent e-mail to the embassy in Ro to request approval.

07.26.2007 Call from embassy in Romania THEY HAVE OUR FILE THERE

when do we WANT the interview!!!

went there the very morning and brought pictures and get the directions for medicals

they asked for an extra original that was not requested before...

we brought it all in... interview on 08.13.2007 VISA granted right there

checked in US on 08.28.2007

whoo hoo about ###### time. after trying all day to get through to NVC finally did. the hubby's interview is Aug. 9th. I'm trying to figure out if I can go with him-doesn't look like it but I'd really like to. we'll see. anyway, so glad that we finally know when this bs is going to be over.

Gave up on ridiculously long US process-started Canadian

12/4/04 submitted app

LSS app returned because of missed signatures, lost in transit, resubmitted in June

9/28/05 landed, yippie

10/4/05 fly back to US to "finish up Master's" lose mind and switch to PhD

Damn it back to the US process

3/something/2005 finally get NOA2, no idea why it took so long

4/15/07 get case approval from NVC

8/9/07 Montreal here we come

10/14/07 hubby activated his visa

Just called in, since Karina's case was completed 18 days before mine, I figured I might have a chance of squeezing in for a August interview as well. I wasn't scheduled, but seeing that Montreal is catching waaay up now literally made me cry with happiness.

Good to hear folks are getting interviews. My case was completed on May 29th but no interview yet. Seeing that someone whose case was completed on june 1st got an interview already is great news. Hofully they will get to me next month for september.
