We are hopeful of getting the K1 approval mid next month.

We wanted to prepare all the paperwork needed for the interview. One of the things required is the Police Certiticate. Is it advisable to get the police certificate now? It takes about 1 month (in Russia) to get this. The Moscow consulate says its valid for 1 year. What have others done in this situation?

My Fiance is also in Russia. She applied at the MVD in Ulan Ude for her report. She was able to request it cover Moscow as well. It can take a long time. I would start now. Hers took almost 1 month.

My fiance has her interview in Moscow within the month.

If I can help with anything else let me know.

wow, we have already recieved our Biometrics appointments. It is only 2 1/2 weeks away.

It seems to be moving rather quickly.

This is great.

What is MVD? and what do you mean by 'able to request to cover Moscow'? Does it mean your fiance was living in Moscow also for more then 6 months and so needed that covered in the police certificate?

my fiancee has only lived at one place for last 23 years :)

We are waiting for NOA2 as well, but we are applying for the police certificate this week. Sergey lives in Moscow, better to be prepared now, than to run out of time....We got our NOA1 just two days after you, so I'll be watching to see when you get NOA2, GOOD LUCK! Milena.
