I believe you can bring your SO to the interview. However we did not! I got there a day or so after the interview for a visit!

Good luck though!!

I'm the USC, I went with my UKC husband to his IR1 interview in London...I was there by his side the entire time. I saw LOTS of couples there. LOTS.

Good to know. I seem to recall there was a space on the DS-2001 that asked if the applicant would be bringing their spouse, and if so to write their name in so that's what we did. No way I'm not gonna be there on the big day!

I don't even remember filling out anything called DS-2001.

I just showed up with him; flashing that US passport got us sent straight to the front of the queue.

DS-2001 is also known as the checklist you send off saying you're ready for interview... I am in so deep in this whole process that I have stopped using English and now communicate in acronyms only!

I remember filling that out but I didn't take any notice of what the documents were called.

It's weird; I did all this before signing up to VJ. I suppose if I had come here first I'd be more au fait with the terminology. People who haven't even done this sometimes know more about it than I do.
