P.O.E. LAX 10TH MAY 2007!! WITH MY CR1 VISA

Hi all VJER’S.

Well I SURVIVED the 5 flight connections

Adelaide – Sydney

Sydney –Taipei

Taipei – LAX

LAX - Cleveland, Ohio

Cleveland Ohio - Providence, Rhode Island.

Nearly 41 hours of flying.

LAX POE. WAS A FRIGGIN NIGHTMARE :protest::ranting:

Flight landed in LAX. 19.10pm Thursday Night

With a Connecting Flight @ 11.15pm Thursday Night,

To Cleveland, Ohio then onto Providence, Rhode Island.

Walked through to the Immigration Lines with the Mysterious Brown Envelope,

And Passport Was told to go to the end Line next to # 8 Desk,

and as I look down towards the Line after # 8 Desk

There was about 40 people in front of me ffs,

They where mostly from the Philippine’s people on k1's

(I asked a few of them what sort of visa's)

Everyone I talkded too was on a K1.

There was 1 Immigration Officer doing the Fingerprints,

and getting people to sign the paperwork Another guy was there sitting down

next to the other one doing the above things The guy sitting down was handed the M.B.E.

by the Officer dealing with the new Immigrants. When handed the M.B.E'S he just ripped them open and sorted/checked the paperwork Then put them in a pile.

By the time I got through to the Front of the line it was.22.15pm

Remembering I had a connecting flight @ 23.15 Departure

And I said to him that I indeed had a Connecting flight in 45 minutes,

He said oh ok just give us your right index fingerprint,

and sign these forms and collect your luggage from the carousel.

By that time the P.A System let everyone know that the carousel's had been emptied,

from previous flights & as there had been 20+ flights after mine landed.

And we where told that they had been dumped/placed inbetween carousels

So off I go to try to find my checked luggage & found it inbetween # 5 and # 6

Carousel's.. was hoping nothing got damaged

in my Checked as I was carrying some South Australian wine and a couple coffee mugs.

So I go find a Trolley and took it back to the immigration desk &

He said leave the checked bags and go sit in this seated area next to the Counter,

where they where doing the paperwork.

It was full of most of the people that where infront of me waiting for their,

names to be called out to get their paperwork and passport and be on their way

But if they go through the line and &;

NOT HAVE ALL THEIR CORRECT PAPERWORK...

They get taken to a room which is "Guarded" by a Immigration Officer,

and told to wait there until they can resolve the missing document problem

So by this time I have 38 Minutes to Make my Connecting flight and when the

CONNECTION COUNTDOWN got to 28 minutes,

my named was called and the he handed me my passport back,

which he stamped and signed with AOS DATE of May 9th ;2009

I said thanks and then bolted with my luggage in tow on a trolley,

then outside my departure lounge found a SMOKING room,

after I checked my 2 cases in.I HAD 10 MINUTES TO FIT IN 2 SMOKES

AFTER BEING ON A NEARLY 12 HOUR FLIGHT FROM

TAIPEI, I WAS HANGING SOOOO BAD FOR A SMOKE.

Then I get to Cleaveland Ohio at 6.35am Thursday and was told well

only 45 minutes before boarding and the only area you can smoke is in the furthest end of the airport

and 2 security checks.. so..story in a nutshell

no smoking till 9.40am Thursday when I arrived in Providence Rhode Island..

So I get of the plane and rushed to checked baggage claim,

Then go security xrays and a possible frisk search.. lol

and then out to see if Cheryl had arrived to greet& kiss me and drive us both home.

Half a step out the door of the airport and I got a smoke in my mouth,

And about to light it up.. when I saw a Couple of Rhode Island State Troopers,

Looking at me funny ......walking from the carpark across from the entrance

and was my Cheryl ..

she crossed the crosswalk and we just hugged and kissed lots..

once we got back from the airport..to.. drop off my luggage,

we went out shopping for some deck furniture.. a couple chairs and a small table..

By 8pm I was gone for all Money.. Jet lag had set in..

I started snoring and woke myself up lmao

We also went and applied for my SSN# TODAY and was only 5 people in the office waiting.

They said about 4 - 10 working days for it to arrive in the post.... yippeeee

FINALLY.... FINALLY I AM HERE WITH MY WIFEE,

Cheryl in Massachusetts.

Cheers

to one and all

Paul & Cheryl
