ooops just saw a BIG BOO BOO in my post as I re-read it... approved on AUGUST 18! Not May 18 hahahaha, can you even imagine that?? Thank you all so much for your lovely comments. I am really just flying right now can't think straight at all. And I still can't get a hold of my fiance, where the HECK is he???

As for the RFE trick, think she sort of figured out that it was indeed some kind of sneaky way to find out what our status was as she said, "I don't know why you would think that you had a RFE when you were approved and there is no indication on your online status saying otherwise" she sounded highly suspicious. I remained :innocent: when inside I was thinking, hee, hee, hee...

You know, had I not called I wouldn't have known we had been approved as our online status still says 'received and pending' so I would definitely suggest that you guys call if you see that you are getting touches as obviously something is going on and they aren't updating things very well.

I am keeping my fingers crossed and saying tonz of prayers for all of you. I want to see all my May Filer friends getting approvals SOONER (as in NOW would be nice) rather than later!

I dunno. Annette's big news inspired me to call and try the RFE trick. I got a very nice, wonderful helpful lady who gave me some not very nice, not so wonderful, unhelpful news. She said that my case has still not been assigned. Gave me the ol' "If you look on the website, we're currently processing February cases, so it could still be a couple of months. Not to get your hopes up, but some cases are getting processed a bit quicker than that." :crying: Now, I know that's a stock answer, so I didn't get too upset by the timeline she quoted. BUT.... I would've thought our case would have at least been assigned to someone by now. :(

I am sending loads and loads of positive vibes your way! I want you guys ALL to get approved soon, soon, SOON! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ <-vibes

Just got my notice via email saying we were approved :D so now it feels somewhat more 'real' if that makes sense. I am always skeptical when it comes to customer service at USCIS as we have heard so many stories about processing time etc. But i am happy to hear we were approved on a Saturday! That means someone is working weekend! YAY that person! Please work on my friend's petitions now, please.

I am sorry the RFE trick didn't work for you Sienna, but as I said, that officer sounded really suspicious when I phoned, think the old RFE trick might be one of those deals that has been sussed out and they are becoming more reluctant about giving out info.

oh and I did eventually locate my finace. He was asleep! He had come home from work and fallen asleep on the couch. Eventually he got my texts and called me. He is very happy but is now starting to worry about all the 'junk' he owns and how to get rid of it as he can't bring it all over with him. :)

Hope we get some more good news this week! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

Ever hopeful,

Annette

First of all, I want to say hi to all my fellow May filers! I've been reading everyone's posts and feel like I'm getting to know the frequent writers but realized no one knows me! Feels kinda creepy, like I'm spying or something :) Rest assured that although a bit more quiet, I'm every bit as hopeful and anxious, checking the USCIS website daily. Trying to call for status and keep the frustration down and stay civil.

Anyways, congrats Annette! And to think, I mailed my packet the day after you. Maybe I'm approved and don't know it yet either...or RFE'd. I'm actually at the point now where an RFE wouldn't be such a bad thing. I'd probably be happy someone was working on my case!

Our USCIS Journey:

4/19/07 - I-129F sent to TSC

8/26/07 - email notice that case approved with NOA2 date 8/24

11/8/07 - Interview Date. Visa received by courier same day.

11/22/07 - Arrival US

12/27/07 - Wedding date (civil)

1/17/08 - Sent off package for AOS/EAD/AP

3/15/08 - AP received

3/17/08 - EAD card received

5/13/08 - AOS approved!

5/17/08 - Wedding date (ceremonial - in Korea)

5/23/08 - Greencard received in mail. Good for two years

2/2/10 - I-751 Petition to Remove Conditional Status package sent

5/7/10 - Greencard received in mail. Good for ten years

8/8/11 - N-400 package sent

10/27/11 - N-400 Interview. Passed!

12/9/11 - Oath ceremony. Citizenship at last!
