Yay!

Had a peek at your siggy... Vermont rocks too!

Groan - I'd missed the part about the VT dates on this process. From mailing to receipt of packet 3 in barely over a month!

(mutters to self: must be happy for others, must be happy for others, must be happy for others)

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Hmmmm. I'm getting worried. We got our NOA2 on 4/12, but we've not received Packet 3 yet.

Meant to ask earlier - have you called the NVC to make sure they received your petition and shipped it to London? There have been delays lately between NOA2 and NVC receiving petitions - sometimes up to around 3 weeks.

Not yet -- I've been trying today. Better to phone than to email?

Yes - and don't waste your time trying unless its early in the morning (8 am Eastern time) or midnight (eastern time). Otherwise you'll just sit on hold.

I called around 8:15 am EST and got right through.

OK -- got through. Not in the system yet. They said it could take up to 90 days (!!!) from the date of the NOA2, and to wait a couple of weeks before calling back.

Bah :(

Well at least you know that London isn't holding you up!

I'm really surprised at the NVC lately. They're giving this same line about 90 days to people now whereas before, most K1ers were out and gone (from NOA2 to NVC to shipped to consulate) in about a week (such as we were). I seriously can't understand what's going on, esp. as this trend only seemed to have started in the last month or so.

Fantastic news!! Congrats! London is so speedy right now and it sure is bringing lots of smiles these days... It's such a bummer for those NVCers who haven't gotten into the London orbit yet. :(
